ahundredtimes, a collar with bell (diamante optional) sorts out the problem with hunting. Then again some cats (yes I mean mine, I am under the influence of the paw too) wouldn't catch anything unless it perched under their nose chirping "kill me, here I am!" Even then the effort might be too much.

My cats caught all sorts of creatures when they had bells. However, I think they discovered a "go to" cat who knew how to remove collars
