In case anyone's interested? Sky News is calling the discovery "disturbing, shocking and compelling evidence that the whole world will soon implode".

It's true you know! Sky News only ever report the truth!

Can I still have one? A handsome little gentleman pixie?
I know I shouldn't, but it ought to be quite easy to hide from dh.

Tortington · 12/09/2007 21:45

flange isn;t a collective noun or i'll eat my flange.

beansprout · 12/09/2007 21:45

My god, thank you for alerting us to this important development.

Can we judge the pixies now?

Rhubarb · 12/09/2007 21:46

Yes it bloody well is!

What would you call it then? Eh?

Kathy, I'll post you a nice ginger minger.

The collective term for pixies is a Pecker. As every fule no...

Kathyis6incheshigh · 12/09/2007 21:48

A ginger one would be fine, thanks Rhubarb, but he won't have a beard, will he? I'm not too keen on beards in general and I don't really fancy one with a ginger beard.

Rhubarb · 12/09/2007 21:49

I'm afraid they all have beards, green suits and speak with an Irish accent.

Let's all judge them!

OP posts:
Kathyis6incheshigh · 12/09/2007 21:51

What shall I feed him? Will he demand proper draught Guinness or is it ok from a can?

Rhubarb · 12/09/2007 21:52

Oooooh, from a glass, always from a glass.

They are also very highly sexed, as lulumama will testify to. Just be careful that random Mumsnetters don't eat him/spear him with straws/drown him in a puddle of beer/tread on him - I've lost a pecker of pixies that way.

startouchedtrinity · 12/09/2007 21:56

Sky are so ignorant.

Everyone who has ever watched Not the Nine O'Clock News knows that flange refers to a group of gorillas.

Rhubarb · 12/09/2007 21:57

Oh dear, I seem to have mistakenly added a link to this thread in the McCann thread. Oh dear oh dear oh dear.

Still, I think this is very serious and alarming news that everyone should be aware of. Right?

OP posts:
Kathyis6incheshigh · 12/09/2007 21:57

I am very excited about getting a pixie.

I'm sure in no time at all we will have a whole flange.

Rhubarb · 12/09/2007 21:57

Beetroot - don't I just know it!

OP posts:
BeetrootBevan · 12/09/2007 21:58

pmsl Rhuby

Rhubarb · 12/09/2007 21:59

Hope he doesn't get squished in the post Kathy.

If SKY say that the world will soon implode does that mean the Govt will be claiming that the pixies have weapons of mass destruction?

ruty · 12/09/2007 22:07

LOL at flange as collective noun. Especially for pixies. Perfect.

Rhubarb · 12/09/2007 22:08

UPDATE:

Sky News have reported that the government do indeed believe they have compelling evidence that the said flange of pixies have been hiding, not only the WMD but also Osama bin Laden who has been living amongst them successfully as a pixie. They are now planning to send over bombers to locate known hideaways i.e. the location of certain flanges of pixies, and the airplanes will be joined by foot soldiers ready to infiltrate the flanges.

PM to make a statement soon, Sky on standby outside No.10.

Do you think this thread will make it onto the homepage?

OP posts:
Kathyis6incheshigh · 12/09/2007 22:13

OMG @ Osama Bin Laden.
Those bearded creatures will be perfect cover for him!

Rhubarb · 12/09/2007 22:14

He was the perfect size too, apparently. He now has a ginger beard, wears green and speaks with an Irish accent.

OP posts:
startouchedtrinity · 12/09/2007 22:15

So presumably the 'caves' where he was hiding was really Cheddar Gorge!!!

Thank goodness for SKY or we'd never have known!
