and yes, i know the portugues police have been solving crimes for years, but i also know that they haven;t solved this one, nor have they done any of the things that common sense would dictate you do very very quickly - like look in all the houses in the immediate area for the child and set up road blocks / shut borders to restrict movement.
Another woman whose child was abducted in portugal a couple of years ago, whose child is still missing, gave an interview to the police recently about how 6 officers looked for her child for 2 weeks before saying they had done everything they could.
A child exploitation charity tried to set up in POrtugal but eventually had to pull out of the country due to threats and intimidation - which the police did nothing to abate.
And we have all been talking about the mother whose child was missing who was beaten by the police and is now in prison for the child's murder.
Its not a very reassuring picture is it.
