Liz Jones' diary

I'm sure you've discussed Liz Jones' diary here before but, I was wondering if anyone knew whether she has stopped writing it or not?

Does it still appear in the Mail on Sunday every week?

(I could never make up my mind whether I wanted to give her a big hug or a good slap).

Thanks

Laura

I think it's a marvellous idea, 000Laura000.
Normally MN live chats are full of people queuing up to ask for advice but this one would be full of us telling her how to sort her life out.

Kathy - Glad you think so. I will suggest it to the powers that be!

definitely a slap

aloha · 22/08/2007 15:26

I feel sorry for her, her life sounds utterly grim. But yes, a good shake is in order. And a great big slap for her arse of an ex.

LoveAngel · 22/08/2007 15:32

She sounds like a miserable, self absorbed twat of a woman; her ex - a dickhead of staggering proportions. I was thinking less of a slap and more of a tremendous kick up the arse for the pair of them.

margosbeenplayingwithmynoonoo · 22/08/2007 15:33

she needs a slap. As for her being a guest speaker here .. here's what the survey said... X

Actually I heard she's a regular on Catsnet.

especially on the hugely contraversial whiskas or kit-e-kat topic. Apparently theres a feeding expert just like our very own tiktok.

margosbeenplayingwithmynoonoo · 22/08/2007 16:57

Is there a catsnet?

Kif · 22/08/2007 18:34

I'm sitting on my hands to stop them typing in 'catsnet.com' on the surreal off chance that margo is not joking .

Big brother got into trouble for exploting vulnerable people. That is, giving them a public soapbox to advertise their foibles, then stepping back while they totally humiliate themselves. Is ther a simliar wtchdog for newspaper columnists? See also Lowri "my baby is not white?!" Turner.

BellaBear · 22/08/2007 18:39

catsnet.up.co.il/ apparently

no sign of Lz Jones though

binkleandflip · 22/08/2007 18:40

she's awful, like some terribly indiscreet hairdresser who cant wait to tell you all her woes - as for him, I sympathise to a degree - I wouldnt particularly like the minutae of my life written up for general consumption every week.

She needs to get a (private) life

000Laura000 · 23/08/2007 10:54

Thanks Mizkone. I'll have to read that at lunch time. For the record I agree they come across as awful, awful people.

I feel sorry for her - sounds like she has lots of issues with self confidence and her appearance. She seems to think far too much about things. She is a good writer though, I always read her column and sounds like alot of people did.

She has appalling taste in men. Cant believe the British media keep employing that ex as a commentator - he is popping up everywhere, Grazia, Evening Standard even quality papers. He seems very misogynistic especially about mothers. Did anyone catch his sneering about mothers in Islington? It was really nasty.

Abit rich of him to complain about being written about as it has basically been a springboard for his career.

thegirlwithnoname · 24/08/2007 23:18

I too would like to slap her because her coloun/life is so depressing. I would also tell her to get a new hairdresser, her hair is so the wrong style for someone with a satalite dish for a face.

UCM · 24/08/2007 23:23

I used to read her column and I always thought it was made up. I mean, how can your marraige survive if you are writing about everything apart from the sex every Sunday. Then I found out it was real. I don't blame the DH.

Dinosaur · 24/08/2007 23:30

Really odd, wasn't it?

Wilkie · 26/08/2007 19:38

Are you SURE it's real. I got bored of it. Has she finally left him then??
