It just strikes me though - if that was your job (reality tv star I mean) how on earth would you explain that one to your granny and great aunts when they ask what you're doing at the moment?

And yes, I do think this baby is a publicity stunt, as most things are in celeb world. It's a well timed last ditch attempt to get her in favour with the public. Poor Jade, gone duffwards by her cheating boyfriend. If it was planned and had nothing to do with anyone else, why would they tell the press before 12 weeks? Because wasted time is wasted money. Simple.

I have an enormous amount of sympathy for anyone who has gone through a miscarriage, it must be horrendous. But I said to my dp at the time "I'll be VERY surprised if she's actually pregnant, by announcing it earlier than 12 weeks she's probably paving the way for another front page sob story in Reveal in a few weeks time"

These ruthless "famous for nothing" celebrities work bloody hard with their PR companies to stay in the limelight no matter what and it often means a lot of underhand dirty tricks and sympathy votes.

Poor thing - I feel sorry for her.

I think Jade Goody is to be pitied actually. She is clearly intellectually deficient, or an appaling example of the failure of education, and she is utterly dependent on the media for any sort of income at all because she has no real skills or talents to speak of.

I think that she is a victim of our celebrity mad culture where being famous is an end in itself and is not linked to any sporting prowess, or any acting talent, or an ability to sing, dance, write, play music or even be a decent chef.

The fact that people know who she is, and even read articles about her and comment on them shows how pervasive the media is.

she's dependant on the media to keep her in the lifestyle she's become used to but she's perfectly able to go out and work for a living like the rest of us have to.

She probably isn't capable of that though, TM, her falsely inflated sense of ego and self probably prevent her from being able to process that possibility.

Which is a shame, because if she had never done Big Brother, she would probably be a perfectly ordinary (if still stupid) person, working in a perfectly ordinary (if not intellectually demanding) job. With family and friends around her who actually care if she suffers a m/c without having to use it as a marketing ploy.

I hate Big Brother though. So that may be influencing my opinion about this issue...
