'we' made it news when 'we' decided to complain to the ASA. That's when it becomes news.

If we were all just mouthing about it, that's a different thing. But people complained to the Odeon, complained to the ASA and to be fair, she got comment off them. That's when it becomes news.

funny ain't it that a lot of the folk complaining about the ad are also irritated by the whole Madeleine thang on this site and now it's brought it straight back to the headlines so the McCanns have no complaints do they?

oh I don't really give a shit but I find your argument strange . There's a huge long history of newsworthy stories based around people gathering together and complaining about things - especially in this country!

besides, anything Madeleine-based is bound to make the news.

Yeah foxy, good point. I think I decided, totally arbitrarily, that the journalist had rung up Odeon and said 'all these women are outraged, what are you going to do about it' and they said, oh this and this. I made that up, totally! Okay. Should be a journo maybe?
