WendyWeber · 26/06/2007 11:09

WendyWeber · 26/06/2007 11:10

Sorry, I should have checked with you first, shouldn't I? I forgot about copyright.

Mhamai · 26/06/2007 11:16

Ok, I know what's being said about copyrights etc but is there anyway for the paper to release it. ggglimpo, that is a beautiful moving piece, what else is there to say.

belgo · 26/06/2007 11:19

ggg - a very moving piece.

Peachy · 26/06/2007 11:31

Wow ggg- fantastic writing, really harrowing yet wonderful at the same time.

Thank you for doing this. I will show the apper around my family, my Uncle lost a 5 year old (leaukaemia) and still has inpatient times at the psyche unit; my cousin's marriage has recently broken down after they lost their 6 year old to heart disease.

I know seeing someone expressing thing they feel will bring them confort as they always say how alone and unique they feel with their losses.

And most of all love yto you and your wonderful family, XXX

Aitch · 26/06/2007 11:38

ggg, you have the copywright if you wrote it freelance. plus the indy isn't going to care, tbh, if it's out already. by god, that's a lovely piece of writing. beautiful and spare, well done. it's a gorgeous tribute to your daughter, very moving.

Hulababy · 26/06/2007 12:30

Oh GGG. What moving piece.

littleducks · 26/06/2007 12:38

it is a lovely piece, truly moving, i just hope it was therepeutic in some way for you to write it (i hope thats the right word, i had been trying to find the right one)

Aufish · 26/06/2007 12:41

Awwwwwwww! That's lovely GGG, so moving and beautiful.

lemonaid · 26/06/2007 13:05

It's beautiful and very effective writing, ggg I started crying over lunch. And such a beautiful photograph of Maude (I don't know if you gave them several she's wearing a flowery dress and a big smile, and you're in a green shirt). There's a really big picture of you on your own, too, and one of you, your DH and the rest of your children.

Lemonaid - someone has just sent me the photos. The one of me shows the bruising under my eyes - despite every cream under the sun and make up it is still there... The one of us all together - we had to get my teenage dd's to change (they were dressed for a fashion shoot!) and we had to explain to my ds that this was one photo where he did not have to grin at the camera - it took several goes to get him sans grin.

Incidentally, my name is spelled wrongly!

BeatrootandBenedick · 26/06/2007 13:41

ggg - it is a moving piece - the owner of the local French cafe gave me very odd looks as I blubbered into pain au raisin this morning

LucyLamb · 26/06/2007 13:45

GGG - that is such a beautifully written piece of writing - I have just been caught blubbing big sobs by my boss and have just told him all about you and Maude - he has now gone off with a tear in his hard old eye - I don't think any parent could fail to be moved by your story.

Truly moving.

Hope you are beginning to come out of the abyss now ?

lilibetpotter · 26/06/2007 13:55

That is so eloquent and heart rending ggg.
