There is a group there called Maddy and this is also for Madeline from people worldwide.

I see no harm in praying for her safe return and for her family to have hope and courage. I know if this was me I'd take some small comfort from the prayers of others.

She is in my thoughts as my son is the same age and yes, we've left him in a room with his sister on occasion whilst we've nipped out of the house. So there but for the Grace of God ......

I pray she is home for her birthday on Saturday.

PinkChick · 08/05/2007 19:12

dd asked her teacher at school if she could say a prayer for the litle girl who was taken and teacher(apparently?) said no??, will ask tomorrow, d is ussually very truthful, but i know she may have misheard or not heard "no, because.."..seems sad tho

Rhubarb · 08/05/2007 19:15

Perhaps the teachers don't feel it appropriate to discuss this with the children? I don't like my dd hearing about it because she's a sensitive child and I don't want to scare her.

She already heard something about it on the news and asked her daddy if the little girl would be crying because she would be scared without her mummy. It's not a thought I want her going to bed with.

PinkChick · 08/05/2007 19:23

yes, i thought maybe teacher didnt want to go into it will whole class, i am thinkking teacher said dd could think about her when she was praying? as teacher is very very nice..i thinkn telling a class room full of children what has happend if they dont already know would be very scary for them

ChocolateFace · 08/05/2007 19:25

I haven't discussed it with my DCs'. If the class teacher started discussing this with the children, a lot of time would be need to talk to them about it properly, no doubt the chldren would have many qusetions to ask.

Pink Chick, let's keep this thread for candles

PinkChick · 08/05/2007 19:33

sorry i just mentioned dd wanting to say a prayer earlier to stop the nastiness and thought id let you know what happend, again sorry
