Sue Radford gives birth to baby number TWENTY and said it's her last

Did anyone see Sue Radford has had 20th baby! Quite amazing really.

They say is definitely the last. But note Noel won't have a vasectomy.

It's sad - really sad.

I hope at least some of their children can break out of that family cycle with their self-esteem and social confidence intact. Their family set-up and obsession with babies, at the expense of their growing kids, must be so damaging. They make a big deal about the husband providing for the family, but he's hardly a role model, is he?

HarrietKettleWasHere · 22/09/2017 13:24

Oh, it's still up!

Selfish and irresponsible individuals.

gillybeanz · 22/09/2017 13:31

I take it none of you complaining about time spent with their kids work ft and hardly spend time with your own kids then.
I know plenty of parents with just one or two kids who spend so little time with their kids by the time they have cooked tea and dad taken his weekend hobbies away from family.
yet these parents are deemed selfish.
Them in glass houses.....

surferjet · 22/09/2017 13:35

I agree you can have only one child and ignore it half the time. But 20 kids is way beyond most people's ability to cope. She's some sort of super human as she actually looks good on it!

ILoveDolly · 22/09/2017 13:36

I know a few families with a lot of kids, not 20, but still, lots. Even if they do believe in reading Hmm they just can't be supervising the homework and reading adequately. I struggle in the evenings to fit in all the homework, music practice, clubs, tea and still give them time to relax and unwind AND get a good nights sleep, and I "only" have three dc. Three seems too many some days.

ILoveDolly · 22/09/2017 13:45

Actually I also meant to post my opinion here about these type of families: I believe the constant compulsion to have more babies is a disorder related to hoarding, it goes against all sense and advice and is detrimental to the mother's health and the children's welfare

mydogisthebest · 22/09/2017 14:36

She doesn't believe in reading! I've heard it all now. She has gone down even more in estimation if that's possible.

Also they go on about not claiming benefits but they obviously get child allowance which must be quite a bit. I don't see how a bakery brings in enough money to keep the family. It must be the most successful bakery ever.

I bet they get tax credits. Also what about all the money they have cost the NHS for all those births and all the money for the education of the children or does she home school if she doesn't believe in reading? Poor kids if she does

GeorgeTheHamster · 22/09/2017 14:41

They get tax credits and child benefits.

No way do they "finance their own children".

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 22/09/2017 15:09

child benefits are limited to three children, so that won't be a bit help.

MrsPottsTeaCosy · 22/09/2017 15:13

Selfish twats Angry

SamiZayn · 22/09/2017 15:15

I can't believe that everyone is so fawning on their Facebook page. Surely 21 births is incredibly damaging for a womans body.

mydogisthebest · 22/09/2017 18:59

Chardonnays, I am pretty sure that although child tax credit is now limited to 2 children it won't apply to the children they already have. Also child benefit is not limited to any amount of children.

holdthewine · 22/09/2017 19:07

But they also run a successful bakery business and basically are self supported. It's not like they sit around all day drinking. When I saw a documentary about them I was impressed with the organisation! It was like running a boarding school. I do agree there is some sort of compulsion there but they do seem to be loving committed parents. Did she really say she didn't believe in reading or is this one of those misquotes?

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 22/09/2017 19:30

Sorry, I might have confused the two.

mydogisthebest · 22/09/2017 19:38

Must be a very successful bakery business! Personally even if they were millionaires I still think they are selfish and stupid to have so many children. The planet is overpopulated. Even if all their children only have 1 child each that is still another 20 and it is highly unlikely they will stop at 1.

Ambonsai · 22/09/2017 19:44

Good luck to them

flippityfloppity · 22/09/2017 20:00

People make some pretty big assumptions about what other families do.

Yes, 20 children is an eye watering number of children but the comments on large families not managing to do things properly just because you don't manage it with your one or two are offensive.

I oversee all of my children's homework. Reading is incredibly important in our house. All children get individual time and all of their very different needs and interests are met. We provide for them financially ourselves more than adequately. The older ones don't have to care for the younger ones, that's my job. I do this with my four, and work, just as well as someone who has one or two.

Yes, clearly getting into the territory of 20 kids, all of this is unlikely - but plenty of us with large families manage it just fine thank you very much.

PaddysMarket · 22/09/2017 20:08

According to Sophie's fb, they are all off to Disneyworld next month!!

I can't believe Noel has said he won't have a vasectomy, he's watched his wife carry and give birth 20 times but won't get the snip. How selfish.

MsGameandWatching · 22/09/2017 20:17

Do you know them OP? Because you speak about them as though you do. Also one of these threads with this weird personal tone pops up every time a member of this family so much as sneezes. I think it's a thoroughly odd state of affairs and these publicity seeking threads are really annoying.

ILoveDolly · 22/09/2017 20:58

I've got three kids and the families I'm talking about have more than ten kids, its just not physically possible to do all the things you can do with say, between one and five kids. I'm not really making assumptions, I know their parents care for them as best they can, but its not actually best for the children to be in such enormous families no matter how well intentioned.

stockportmother · 22/09/2017 21:10

Wow how are they affording Disneyland ? Is it part of a tv show? These tv companies (a bit like the Duggars in USA) end up almost enabling the new babies by offering perks holidays attention publicity etc.

The Radford's only went to New Zealand last year on their tv show

Mt family could never afford either of these holidays for our 3 kids. Must be about £25k for 15 kids and 2 adults

She "doesn't believe" in reading?!? That's possibly the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! shock

That's pathetic.

user327854831 · 22/09/2017 21:23

If gets 30k profits from the bakery then their tax credits would be about 3.5k every four weeks Shock

HeyRoly · 22/09/2017 21:26

Those children are neglected. Their most basic needs are met, but that's it.

expatinscotland · 22/09/2017 21:26

The sooner the media stops glorifying families like this, the better.
