While discussion is almost over I have set up this thread incase anyone wants to post any comments to posts in the previous thread.

OP posts:
reallyanotherone · 12/08/2017 11:24

I was thinking that zeezeek. And if they're giving out the details to anyone who pm's, the details are going to get out. Especially if they're including CA.

Panda81 · 12/08/2017 11:41

It's on her own Facebook page, she could have forgotten her own posts are still set to public.

I really hope it does stay private.

mydogisthebest · 12/08/2017 12:09

I wondered that about the post on facebook too. Surely you would just invite family and friends not put a post on facebook about it?

mydogisthebest · 12/08/2017 12:26

Agree about the helium balloons too. Oh let's kill some wildlife in Charlie's memory. If I could post on there I would ask them to forget the balloon idea

PortiaCastis · 12/08/2017 12:29

Why put an invite on here which is what copying an fb page is doing and now thousands more can see it

Puzzledandpissedoff · 12/08/2017 13:46

I'm a little surprised to see that most of the replies on FB are sending warm wishes to the family rather than actually asking to be there

Perhaps this means that Charlie's Army have moved on ... which on the whole may be no bad thing

reallyanotherone · 12/08/2017 15:06

I've just had a look at the ca page. It appears lots of them are donating to a fund for charlie's funeral.

Again straight into the bank account of someone on the page who says they'll organise it...

mydogisthebest · 12/08/2017 17:10

Connie has asked that if people want to go to the funeral they inbox her so there wouldn't be any posts asking to go.

Yes I saw that people were talking about donating to a funeral fund plus someone was collecting money for flowers and said any left over will go to the fund.

Ta1kinPeece · 12/08/2017 22:06

Minor derail,
but I've just come back from holiday in Italy and went past the hospital that was mentioned in the case
OK I arrived in Rome the day after he was allowed to die, but there was nothing at all in the news over there about it

I do wonder about the reporting of such issues in the days of the "worldwide" media
local sources and properly traceable has to become important once again

Puzzledandpissedoff · 12/08/2017 22:55

That's very true, but I was thinking more of those who posted to say "I've PM'd you". I don't doubt that some of the CA crowd will have asked quietly and privately, but given the past determination of many to signpost just how much they care I was surprised that more hadn't made a huge deal of it

Rhubarbginisnotasin · 13/08/2017 09:13

I think it was very clear by the FB post that having to contact Connie by IM was her way of weeding out ghouls.

mydogisthebest · 14/08/2017 18:14

Connie is saying her inbox is full with people asking to attend the funeral so can people inbox Laura or Chris.

It seems like a lot of the army intend to go then. I will be very surprised if it is kept secret from the media

Disgusting.

Ellie56 · 14/08/2017 19:56

So that's why they don't want the rest of the media finding out...

GabsAlot · 14/08/2017 20:01

is it private or not then

if its true thyv sold rights to his funeral then sorry thats disgusting noone outside f and f need to be there

mydogisthebest · 14/08/2017 20:45

I really hope that is not true. Poor Charlie deserves some dignity and not photos of his funeral all over a newspaper.

The parents hardly need the money do they?

Redglitter · 14/08/2017 20:49

the Mail paid £55000 and a free holiday for exclusive coverage of the funeral

God I hope that's not true. Ffs can't they stop playing this out in public. So they have almost £2million in the bank, there's a collection fund for the funeral & they're being paid by a news paper for exclusive rights. Words fail me....

That actually makes me feel a bit sick Sad

Dustbunny1900 · 14/08/2017 21:05

Wait, the parents have said if they pay them and give them a vaca they'll let DM horn in on Charlie's funeral?? Do we know this for sure?
I don't want to think that's true

Nothing would surprise me now about this case. The length of time to arrange a funeral is ridiculous.

Ellie56 · 14/08/2017 21:49

It is probably some time this week.

Kanga59 · 14/08/2017 22:00

The foundation's accounts will be available at the charity commission website in due course. Where one will see the income and expenses. I am sure all of these incomes will be in there. And there will not be any salaries on there, I can't imagine this family wanting to pay themselves a salary for running Charlie's foundation.
