Anyone see the 29yo who's suing her landlord for not telling her she shouldn't dance on her roof when drunk?

Unless someone comes up with a spectacularly good reason why she should win this case...I'm hoping she loses!

Too damn right she should lose. I can't believe she's even got a case.

zippitippitoes · 27/03/2007 10:27

thought you meant pub landlord

Marina · 27/03/2007 10:29

It just makes such a mockery of appropriate health and safety lawsuits
I hope she is thoroughly shown up in court for the silly person she is

fishie · 27/03/2007 10:30

she must have fallen on her head.

GameGirly · 27/03/2007 10:31

Miaou · 27/03/2007 10:31

yes, this is on the cover of my freebie Metro this morning

she is saying they should have told her NOT to dance on the roof drunk

bet she wins, betcha

Twiglett · 27/03/2007 10:34

you see when she was a child she was never told she was being naughty so she has grown up to believe that the whole world should make way for her and she has no responsibility for her own actions

I blame her parents personally

oliveoil · 27/03/2007 10:34

she did fall on her head fishie

Oh that's quite hilarious really in a very sad sort of way!!

GameGirly · 27/03/2007 10:36

She will too, Olive.

hunkermunker · 27/03/2007 10:36

She got onto the roof out of a WINDOW ffs!

My dear friend had exactly the same accident while working in tenerife, fell through a skylight above an underground car park.
Hit her head and smashed her forearms up.

Was in a coma in tenerife for a few days and then flew back by specialised medical plane to the uk, in hospiatl for months.

Now cannot work- has no confidence, has slurred speech - Horrific scars on her arms from metal plates being put in.

Basically her whole life has changed, she was outgoing and funloving- now lives as a virtual recluse.

She probably was very stupid to stand on a skylight- im sure she thinks that now.

Marina · 27/03/2007 10:38

Well there you are hatrick, in future you will have to give your tenants a "How to find your arse with both hands" health and safety handbook covering such tricky issues as not throwing themselves down the stairs, not microwaving the cutlery to dry it off, not holding bonfires indoors etc.
You negligent landlord you

UnquietDad · 27/03/2007 10:38

She looks like Heather Mills McCartney.

hunkermunker · 27/03/2007 10:39

Oh, TE, that's horrendous

OP posts:
tiredemma · 27/03/2007 10:39

This roof however was not through a window, it was part of a 'patio' outside her apartment, the car park was underneath. A child could have done the same - there was no barrier to this skylight- it was a 'feature' of the patio design.

feetheart · 27/03/2007 10:41

Any suggestions what I should add to tenancy agreement apart from roof dancing and hatrick's genitalia thingie

How the hell has the case got this far???

GreenandBlackOtter · 27/03/2007 10:41

pretty though!

hunkermunker · 27/03/2007 10:42

In that instance, TE, I would support her case to sue.

But in this one? Nah. Unless, as I say, there are circumstances other than "idiocy".

Your friend's case sounds very different tiredemma I'm so sorry for her
