Yeah, he went on and on a bout how Linda was the have all to end all and he never spend a night without here and blah blah blah. Yet then he blinks in the daylight and he's going out w/Heather.

He is a dumb ass.

nailpolish · 21/03/2007 16:44

hes not a dumb ass expat hes a man who met a blonde

expatinscotland · 21/03/2007 16:47

Well, obviously he's pretty dumb if he didn't see that coming a mile away and take steps to guard his fortune more securely.

Duh.

bundle · 21/03/2007 16:48

I've heard things about her (not through media) which make me wonder about her veracity...

Y0rkshirelass · 21/03/2007 16:50

I don't mean she deserves it (esp. not jibes about her losing her leg), but if she insists on thrusting herself back into the limelight repeatedly she is going to have to deal with public opinions.
Being a manic attention seeker she doesn't have the ability to lead a private life.
I feel sorry for their daughter.

Absolutely Fio, and expat.

Rhubarb · 21/03/2007 16:58

Come on though, she married Paul against his children's wishes. He put an album dedicated to his late wife on the back burner because of her opposition to it. She had ex's coming out of the wormwood trying to get money but not one of them had a nice thing to say about her. She gets pregnant by him, thereby securing her future for life, then divorces him, and when the public tide turns against her, it is "leaked" that he used to beat her up - attempt for sympathy?

She does a lot for charity I will give her that, but she doesn't do anything in private does she? She publicises every charitable thing she does.

I'd never heard of her until she married Paul and then she did every charitable thing she could - another attempt to woo the public?

Call me a cynic and that. I don't know her in rl and the press can be vicious, but she knows that.

As for Paul, well he was a knobhead for ignoring all the warning signs and getting involved. Men never learn do they?

Freckle · 21/03/2007 16:58

The point is that Linda was vilified in the press when she first married Paul. It was only after many, many years that she became accepted. And she never did anything to hurt Paul (apart from die and I don't suppose she did that deliberately).

So when you get another woman (with, it has to be said, a fairly colourful and not entirely truthfull background) marrying him and then acting like this, to be honest, she should have seen it coming. I'm not saying it's right, just not unsurprising.

Rhubarb · 21/03/2007 16:58

woodwork I'm looking through a book of worms for ds as I typed that!

zippitippitoes · 21/03/2007 17:01

it took me a while to discover (like this week actually) that she didn't lose her legs in a landmine explosion..

the police calling thing put me off

and the general bitterness

but I am so interested that I don't know waht the sun story says because i didn't click

no wonder i roll around in a pleasant mire of ignorance most of the time

bundle · 21/03/2007 17:03

fio

just keeping you on your toes...

nailpolish · 21/03/2007 17:03

oh zippi! lol

VeniVidiVickiQV · 21/03/2007 17:04

How many relationships do end so very amicably though?

zippitippitoes · 21/03/2007 17:07

I still don't know how she did lose her legs..unless it was a motorbike accident?

or was that just Jade's mother?

heather mills got run over by a speeding police car

Rhubarb · 21/03/2007 17:09

Some policeman knocked her down at a crossing.

Thing is, most people thought she was a money grabber when she went for Macca. I mean, he's an old man, she was an aspiring TV personality. I predicted she'd stay married long enough to get preggers and then leave. It happened.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 21/03/2007 17:10

She got run over by a speeding police motorbike. Her leg got tangled in the wheel.

Rhubarb · 21/03/2007 17:11

Shall I say it again just in case anyone is in any doubt?

Yes, you could. But repeat mine, because mine is the most accurate version

Rhubarb · 21/03/2007 17:14

I did mean that the copper knocked her down in a car or summat though, he didn't just come up to her and push her over or anything!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 21/03/2007 17:14

LOL Fio
