The murder of Maria Ladenburger in Germany

Maria Ladenburger was the 19 year old daughter of a lawyer who works for the European Commission. She was a medical student in Freiburg. She was raped and murdered in October cycling home from a party. A 17 year old Afghan asylum seeker who arrived in Germany in November 2015 under Angela Merkel's all comers policy has admitted to her murder after he was arrested on DNA evidence.

He is also under investigation for the rape and murder of a 27 year old woman three weeks later in the same area.

It turns out he may also be responsible for pushing another woman off a cliff in Corfu in 2013.

I cannot find anything about this story in the Guardian.

Why do you think the Guardian has not written anything about this girl's murder?

Because the Guardian is a British paper, that doesn't usually report on every single one of the several hundred murders per year which happen in Germany.

Any light to shed on what "filled with hate against this country" means yet? That's quite an accusation to throw at someone.

That doesnt fly. The girl is the daughter of a high-up EU official, his chancellor Merkel was the one who gave the green light last year to the immigrant intake of mostly young men.

Manumission It's either someone who is not comfortable with reading, or it's bullshit.

He was probably released from prison in Greece after only one year, because Greece is financially on its knees and cynically whoever made that crazy decision knew that he'd move on to northern Europe as soon as he could.

He ended up in Germany because Angela Merkel and her naive policy of opening Germany's borders and welcoming all-comers without vetting them struck his violent, criminal mind as an excellent opportunity to go somewhere new where he was unknown.

I'm willing to bet he hasn't been 17 many a long year, but he knows, as well as any mug who's entered Europe and cried 'Asylum' as soon as anyone in authority approaches, that claiming himself to be a minor gives him access to special treatment and privileges. The EU (and in particular, Angela Merkel), created this situation when they failed to put a proper vetting system in place before they allowed hundreds of thousands of people to flood, unchecked across Europe in 2015. It should surprise no-one that in that number were criminals, terrorists and other undesirables. And now, safe in their new, western countries, where asylum systems are so overwhelmed that their paperwork is unlikely to be processed any time soon, they're free to grope, rape, murder and maim at will.

Or perhaps I too am "filled with hate against this country", whatever that means? I suppose we'll just never know!

That doesnt fly

Uh-huh. Perhaps you could spell out the criteria you think the Guardian should use for coverage of murders in other countries?

SouthallGirl · 17/12/2016 11:23

But checks are performed. We do have borders

What checks - describe them.
We are not in Schengen but wave an EU passport and you are let in - because we are overwhelmed with numbers.

SouthallGirl · 17/12/2016 11:29

53rd Three newspapers I saw all carried the murder of this girl. It's news! Not to report is a deliberate action, and to my mind is an attempt not to draw attention to who the killer is, in light of her father's continuing support of EU ideology - because it is also the Guardian's.

If we are really serious about stopping women from being sexually attacked then we need to stop blaming immigrants and religions and start tackling the one common factor. Women get assaulted by both UK and foreign criminals, by Christians, Muslims and aethiests.

The one common factor is that 99% of attackers are male. Because most men aren't rapists but most rapists are men.

MaryTheCanary · 20/12/2016 11:46

So what are we going to do, Zippey--ban men?
