For those of you still with Brexit Blues, like me, Vote for Europe offers some hope. It encourages tactical voting to have pro- EU parliamentary candidates elected. The Witney by-election is the one to watch!

We've been more or less ignored since the vote and there are 16 million of us.

Weren't they(we) found to be on the whole younger and better educated? In which case, they are more likely to take themselves off rather than riot. So there will be a slow decline, before people realise that the younger people have left.

scared the people might riot does sound rather like mob rule, doesn't it?

Really pleased to see Ken Clarke speaking out about this. He sums up my feelings quite well: “The idea that I’m suddenly going to change my lifelong opinions about the national interest and regard myself as instructed to vote in parliament on the basis of an opinion poll is laughable,” he said.

so he's not changing his mind either, just because 'the people have spoken'

According to BBC web site David Davis once said 'if a democracy can't change its mind, it isn't a democracy.
