Anyone else still feeling a little on edge with all this.

Anneli (Annie as she was at school) was a friend at school, not a clsoe friend, and we didnt stay in touch after school, but she has a 5yr old son. That poor poor little lad. She was such a pretty little thing, really petite and stunning. Im gutted for the way life turned out for her.

FiveGoldenFIMBOIDs · 13/12/2006 10:22

One of the latest 2 girls found was last seen alive on Saturday, but apparently decided to still take the risk and go out.

FiveGoldenFIMBOIDs · 13/12/2006 10:25

JARM as you may/may not know I live in Norwich and even although we are 40 miles away I still feels to close to home for comfort so I can't even begin to imagine how you are feeling. I just thank god my dd is too young to be going out and about. I think if she was 16-18 she would be staying in under lock and key. It was macabre watching Look East and Anglia News last night and like you I was glued to it.

JARMgotstuckupthechimney · 13/12/2006 10:38

Fimbo - its so scary. I too am pleased my girls are still babies. I dont even want to be out, let alone them too.

I am petrified. Have read all the papers online this morning, press conference due at 11am on sky news re last nights findings.

What got me was the Independant confirming what I thought I knew with regards to Annie. Has seriously hit home more that I think it would if I didnt know one of them.

I just hope this sick fucking arsewipe of a human being is caught - and soon.

FiveGoldenFIMBOIDs · 13/12/2006 10:42

My dh theory is it is a gang, who want the patch for themselves and they are doing this to prove they are serious. I don't think any of the girls have been sexually assaulted.

It is really grim and I am thinking of you and anyone else in Ispwich at the moment.

JARMgotstuckupthechimney · 13/12/2006 10:54

Im not sure mate, Im really not.

I hope you stay safe too - just because it is centred to Ipswich at the moment, means nothing.

Take care xxx

JARMgotstuckupthechimney · 13/12/2006 11:24

2 girls found yesterday are not going to be named today.

the bodies are still in-situ and will be until later today. Will be removed to Ipswich hospital for Home Office PM.

spinasnowflake · 13/12/2006 11:32

Watching the News special on BBC1 at moment.

News of the World now apparently offering £250,000 reward

FiveGoldenFIMBOIDs · 13/12/2006 12:25

Thanks JARM.

Local Ceefax says that the police are looking into someone called "Uncle" who is known to the girls.

JARMgotstuckupthechimney · 13/12/2006 12:55

Not heard that Fimbo, but cant get ceefax here either.

I really really hope they can stop this guy before he strikes again.

achristmasshoop · 13/12/2006 17:46

I live in Ipswich, just up the road from the red light district actually, and I have an aunt and cousin who actually live in the red light district. It's bloody freaky to think it's happening right here, on our doorstep.
From what I have heard, prostitution in itself isn't illegal, it's soliciting and the things that go with it.
We used to race cars right down by where Tania Nicol may have been murdered, or at least where her body was found.
We drive through Hintlesham to get to my MILs.
Nacton is near a pub where we eat regularly and we sometimes drive through Levington when we are coming home from Felixstowe.
I really feel for these girls and can't possibly imagine what they were feeling.
Hope the families of the murdered girls catch up with this bastard, or indeed bastards.

JARMgotstuckupthechimney · 13/12/2006 19:59

OMG

My dad has just phoned.

The NEWS OF THE WORLD have just knocked on his door looking for me for an interview.

Cant believe it.

(Dad made me laugh though - said he would have told them who and where I was had it been the Guardian!)

JARMgotstuckupthechimney · 13/12/2006 20:52

womens clothing found in the River Orwell.

Fucking wanker.

FiveGoldenFIMBOIDs · 14/12/2006 11:31

JARM-there are now linking the deaths to a 1992 death of a protestitue who was found in the Ringland Hills in Norwich.

I hope they catch the person responsible soon.

bundle · 14/12/2006 11:33

fimbo, her mother was on the today programme and was pretty sceptical about any link (she's been disappointed many times by countless "links")

OP posts:
JARMgotstuckupthechimney · 14/12/2006 11:45

i dont think there is a link, just my view.

MerryPiffmas · 14/12/2006 11:51

the worst thing is to think this murderer might have mnoved on due to all the attention.
Very scary indeed.
I really hope the bodies reveal some clues, asomething anything to help trap who it is.
I'm also really relieved that the public and police and media in the most are not seemingly placing any judgements on these girls because of their line of work. They are all saying someones daughter/sister/mother at the end of the day.
I see the body they recovered from Levington has had cause of death revealed
Neck compression
This is really a nightmare for those concerned and locals. Really awful

achristmasshoop · 15/12/2006 17:27

I think with most people when the first two girls went missing, it was oh, they're just prostitutes, they'll turn up. But now it's like, who cares what they did for a living, they still have the right to a life. They certainly did not deserve to be murdered.
It's even worse because, not everyone knew these girls, but most of us have seen them around town or know someone that knew them, and it really brings it home.

cyrilthefestivesquirrel · 15/12/2006 18:36

I know people who knew a couple of them too. It really brings it home, doesn't it?

achristmasshoop · 15/12/2006 18:42

Like the name cyril
Yes it does bring it home. Sometimes you can distance yourself from the reality so that it seems like some kind of tv program, and then it will all come flooding back each time you see it on the news.

cyrilthefestivesquirrel · 15/12/2006 18:49

are you in Ipswich yourself?

It just feels weird seeing familiar streets and places on the news. Almost surreal.

People need to remember that most of these women had children, just like the rest of us.

I don't like the way they keep being referred to as 'prostitutes' or 'working girls' on the news

cyrilthefestivesquirrel · 15/12/2006 18:50

thanks for compliment on name btw

achristmasshoop · 15/12/2006 18:52

Yes I am. It's horrible isn't it, all the places they have shown, even where the bodies were found are all familiar (see further down the thread for my posting).
Some of the girls I even recognise from when they were working.
It gets even more scary when experts suggest that now the girls aren't working he/they may just target random people to 'fulfill his high'. It's sick ffs!!

cyrilthefestivesquirrel · 16/12/2006 09:49

Anneli Alderton was 3 months pregnant
