What a delight he is.

LIZS · 14/06/2015 14:04

True but I'm not sure why this is front page news. Is further publicity helpful to his victims ?

Sparklingbrook · 14/06/2015 14:04

I saw that, but wondered why it had been sent to the Daily Mail.

InAndOfMyself · 14/06/2015 14:11

Non-Fail link

The only good that I can see is if the existence of the letter keeps him from getting parole.

DoughDoe · 14/06/2015 14:16

It is helpful in that anyone who harboired any sort of doubts about him 'but he seemed so nice on telly' would have then disspelled

God he's a disgusting, vile little scumbag!

Wishful80smontage · 14/06/2015 14:24

He's sickening- how he still has 'friends' to write to is beyond me. vile human being!

WorraLiberty · 14/06/2015 14:31

I'm glad the papers have got hold of this because it might make it that bit harder, for the parole board to grant him parole at the end of 2017.

It's clear he doesn't deserve it.

GlitzAndGigglesx · 14/06/2015 14:35

We met him on an art school trip when I was in primary school and he wouldn't leave one of the teaching assistants alone he's just vile

ImperialBlether · 14/06/2015 14:37

It's interesting that he actually acknowledges in the song that his victims were very young. He's bitching about them being 50 now (umm still thirty years younger than he is) and saying it all happened 40 years ago. So - they were 10 years old. What a pig that man is.

Gileswithachainsaw · 14/06/2015 14:37

He has clearly learnt nothing and has no acceptance it was his fault.

If people had doubt before they won't now!!!! I hope the victims aren't to upset by it and now are glad the world can see what he's really like.

Quietattheback · 14/06/2015 14:47

"And I see your true colours shining through..."

InDespair · 14/06/2015 17:37

And apparently he's head of art lessons in jail and says lifes pretty comfy there, so obviously not regretting a single thing and being treated like a king there.

Icimoi · 14/06/2015 17:41

I would take the stuff about him being comfortable in prison with a pinch of salt, to be honest. He's not in an open prison, and even open prisons aren't a great as some of the papers like to make out. I suspect a bit of Daily Mail agenda in that piece of reporting.

Bakeoffcake · 14/06/2015 17:48

Vile human being.

I hope he doesn't get parole because of this letter and I thank the "friend" who leaked it. Apparently he/she was so disgusted by the contents, they decided it needed a wider audience. Good for them.

Twinklestein · 14/06/2015 21:29

I don't the UK will ever see children's entertainers in the same way ever again.

Stealthpolarbear · 14/06/2015 21:30

Arrogant piece of shit

wol1968 · 15/06/2015 14:07

While I know this is not AIBU, would I BU to hope some fellow inmate slips something nasty (preferably cyanide) into his tea?

NealCaffreysHat · 15/06/2015 14:13

The only good that I can see is if the existence of the letter keeps him from getting parole

Sadly according to his victims lawyer as the rule at the time the offenses took place was automatic release half way through his sentence they have to apply the same rule.

Hmm I'm not sure prison is a particularly comfortable place for famous high profile paedophiles.

BigChocFrenzy · 15/06/2015 15:14

He is 100% vermin, but we already knew that.

It reveals how a paedophile thinks: that his victims are only objects for his gratification and how dare they inconvenience him.

Totally stinks that he gets out so soon.

I hope that after his victims sue for compensation he doesn't have a pot to piss in, but I read he's been hiding assets.
The police will probably give him permanent protection. So, that's resources which should be used to hunt other evil bastards.

AdventureBe · 15/06/2015 15:20

It was in the Times yesterday too. I also wondered why they printed it, or how it came to be in the hands of the press at all TBH.

RH is the one from my childhood that disappointed me most. All the others I could say I always knew there was something strange about them - not this, but they did seem a bit odd/crpeey. RH didn't and those pictures he did were great family viewing Sad

Icimoi · 15/06/2015 15:22

I must say, I was amongst those who were saddened by his conviction because I suppose it never once occurred to me that he might be a paedophile; with the likes of Savile and Max Clifford I think we were always aware that there was something sleazy about them, but that didn't apply to Harris. In an odd sort of way, I'm almost glad that he has confirmed that he deserved everything he got. I read somewhere that more victims had come forward - I do hope that will result in further charges.
