When is the lying nyaff going to resign, or has he no shame at all?

My, you're almost as fast a reader as Alistair Darling, I'm impressed!

Behooven · 31/05/2015 00:36

Andrew Neil is brilliant. There's a reason the party leaders wouldn't be interviewed by him prior to the election. His political knowledge and recall is amazing. I'm a fan in case you didn't notice.
Fwiw, Salmond did lie to Neil and was caught out but it was managed with the standard SNP bluster and denial not unusual

HirplesWithHaggis · 31/05/2015 00:44

Did you read the Ponsonby article, and follow the links to, amongst others, Andrew Neil interview?

HirplesWithHaggis · 31/05/2015 02:18

As an aside, keeping up to date with the potential court case... theorkneyvole.com/2015/05/30/what-happens-now-carmichaelmustgo/

I think he should have resigned. I have to say this is becoming a witch hunt though, the church elder stuff is plain nasty.

BakewellSlice · 31/05/2015 11:25

I didn't read the Ponsonby screed, no. I saw the title of the author's book, available on Kindle, and decided to pass. I like to form my own opinions hence basing my views of Alex Salmond on what I've heard him say, on issues I have knowledge of myself. He's a smooth operator of that there is no doubt!

My view remains that if he believes he has been lied about he should sue.

BakewellSlice · 31/05/2015 11:26

I did read Wings, it's a favourite of mine!

HirplesWithHaggis · 31/05/2015 13:17

I agree the church elder thing is unnecessary. It'll stop being a witch hunt when he does the honourable thing and stands down, giving his constituents the second chance Rennie thinks Carmichael should have. I'd quite happily forgive and forget if they will - and they might!

Sturgeon needs to learn when to be magnanimous in victory, especially after such a resounding SNP victory, as it just makes her appear a ‘small’ person when needing to unite Scotland – continuing to feed the hatred within nationalist supporters, whose actions against anyone that dares disagree with them - even fellow Scots who have contributed to Scotland politically and economically over the years.

Michelle Mone quits Scotland over 'vitriolic hatred' of independence supporters
www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/SNP/11641582/Michelle-Mone-quits-Scotland-over-vitriolic-hatred-of-independence-supporters.html

”The lingerie tycoon Michelle Mone has called on Nicola Sturgeon to bring her supporters into line after revealing that she has left Scotland being subjected by “cyerbnats’ to a vitriolic social media hate campaign.”

”In a scathing assessment of the First Minister she said she was a “smart and successful woman” but needed to “take control of her MPs and supporters”.

”She accused Ms Sturgeon of allowing the sort of behaviour that saw her threatened, insulted and sworn at online, and said Scotland under the SNP was becoming a place “consumed by hatred and ill will”.

The hatred against Westminster goes back years, IMO Sturgeon/Salmond having harnessed that wider ‘anti’ movement for their own political ends, needs to tone is down a bit - especially as they will want new businesses to locate there and WILL find more competition from the north of England.

Claims that 'Surgeon luvs Cameron' is not an issue (for Sturgeon) to insist another politician stands down on, unless any leader feels that they are above being 'accused' of anything, especially respecting a P.M. that has done a good job to fix a socialist party chaotic administrations mistakes while the EU she luvs still slumps - in which case it brings into question her leadership and economic credentials. IMO.
