actually, even on page 10 there is a little piece on She Who Must Not Be Mentioned

Gobbledispook · 29/10/2006 13:00

Jesus effing Christ.

Wish I hadn't read that now.

BloodyTenaLady · 29/10/2006 13:02

pmsl, this reporter is crazy. My ds with his sahm was dressing himself at 3 and making his bed by 4. He has no interest in me when we are out socially so he is fiercely independant.

She doesnt know what she is talking about.

foxinsocks · 29/10/2006 13:02

I did try and warn you

OP posts:
Gobbledispook · 29/10/2006 13:03

Agree TenaLady.

My brothers - raised by a SAHM - are the only grown men I know of that know how to work a washing machine or cook a decent meal.

Bollocks to Daisy who knows eff all about it - clearly.

BloodyTenaLady · 29/10/2006 13:03

You are not taking her personal opinion based on an extreme one off experience seriously, surely.

Greensleeves · 29/10/2006 13:07

There is a LOT of this sort of thing around on MN and in the media generally lately though. Natural childbirth vs CS, SAHM vs WOHM, young mums vs older mums etc. It is hurtful for everyone and very depressing

The underlying message seems to be that women are damned whatever they do. So no change there then.

foxinsocks · 29/10/2006 13:07

snort

bits I really love

Big Handbag = SAHM
Useless Monsters = children of SAHM
Pale skinned children = mothers too 'precious' to let them out

wonder if she has children? shirley not, one would hope

OP posts:
foxinsocks · 29/10/2006 13:08

yes Greensleeves

and it just confirms what most men have known for a long time ggrr that women are their own worst enemies
