children found dead in hotel

police say it could have been a suecide pact by the parents. if you wanna kill yourself then fine but why take the children!

this is just so sad and makes me so

I can't believe two adults could both be in the same place "mentally" to do this (suicide pact). I just cant.

Whatever the cause of these childrens death this is a tragic event.

I don't think anyone jumped to ill informed conclusions. the artacle said a suecide pact was being investigated as one of the causes, and people merely said that if it was a suecide pact then those who carried it out were selfish twunts, which, if it was a suecide pact, they are. If it wasn't then it is a tradgedy for all concerned.

It may not be suicide read the article - they could have eaten wild mushrooms.

Wannabe, here are just 2 examples from this thread:

"If I had been so selfish as the kill my kids like that then I'd make bloody sure I finished the job myself too."

"Whatever it was that the parents couldn't face, will be immeasurably worse now that they have killed their children and survived."

If that's not jumping to ill informed conclusions then I don't know what is.

I shall parp myself from this thread now. It's pissing me off.

their poor mother, her children have died and she wasn't even in the same country as them. I don't know how you would ever come to terms with that as a parent.

What about the other news about the couple who fed methadone to their baby which killed him eventually.
At least we are 99% sure that they are guilty

This BBC link confirms these poor children were killed by carbon monoxide poisoning.

Quite obviously, this thread and the reactions to the use of the word "poison" in original news reports has highlighted the danger of irresponsible reporting where language is used in such a way that people jump to the very worst conclusions.

Corfu children killed by gas leak

The father and his girlfriend deserve the hugest sympathy, as much as the natural mother.
