Whatever it was that the parents couldn't face, will be immeasurably worse now that they have killed their children and survived.

I can see that too NP. If things were so bad that I didn't want to be here anymore, and the guilt of abandoning my children and worrying what damage it would do them the rest of their lives... I'd consider it too.

I can't imagine doing that to my healthy little girls.

This isn't just depressed (iykwim), this is other mental illness (maybe on top of depression), paranoia, delusions etc...like that mum who's just been found guilty of setting that fire an dkilling her baby...all media called it PND, but isn't it Post partum psychosis really??

I am not defending them if that is what happened, but maybe the nasty comments should wait until it has been confirmed or otherwise.

I am saying I can understand the thinking behind it.

For me, it is my children that have stopped me doing anything. Who knows what you could do once you get past that edge though

I think either way it's horrible. If they were murdered, then the killer should be hunted down and should wrot in jail for the rest of his/her life. If it was a suecide pact, then I think the parents should be punished in the harshest way possible.

I dont think so, the artacle said the children's father and another woman, so i'm guessing she was the stepmother
