$@~ing $&@ard!!!!

WitchICouldGiveUpWork · 03/10/2006 17:01

Sick-never mind hanging-invite him to a Mumsnet do and let us deal with him.

iamapieceofcheesecake · 03/10/2006 17:05

No, he needs to die a slow, painful death with repeated beatings from the childs family.
Bastard. V.v

CreepyCrawlyCarmenere · 03/10/2006 17:05

I don't care if I am flamed for saying this but that man should be castrated, chemically and physically. He has taken that childs innocence and damaged her sexually and physically and she has to live with this for the rest of her life. Why bother rehabilitate someone like that.
I know I am speaking from an emotional/maternal point of view but no matter how much intellectuallising goes on and no matter how much better it is for society to treat prisioners humanely, I still feel like this.

iamapieceofcheesecake · 03/10/2006 17:11

I think there should be an island in the middle of highly shark infested waters, where people like this should be sent to to fend for themselves. No one would ever go to that island except for new prisoners to be flung out of helicopters. Before going, all the men should be castrated. Who cares if there food supply runs out, I don't! If they are put in prison, there is a high chance they will be let back out into society for them to do it all over again.

far from flaming you carmenere, I agree 100%.

It makes me feel sick to the pit of my stomach that the tax DH pays goes toward re-habilitating these worthy peices of shit.

BudaBeast · 03/10/2006 17:15

Some prisioners don't derserve to be treated humanely Carmenere. He didn't exactly treat that little girl humanely did he? No sentence too harsh IMO. And throw him in with general prison population - they will sort him out.

Paedophiles/sex offenders SHOULD NEVER GET OUT. EVER. END OF STORY.

Blandmum · 03/10/2006 17:15

I don't think that you can rehabilitate people like this. It think your sexual drive is too closely linked to your basic personality. I don't think that people like this can ever be trused not to reoffend.

I would also like to tear him apart, slowly, and so I feel that it is probably better that I don't get the chance, not for him, but for me, IYSWIM.

I do think that people like this should be locked away forever, with no chance of releace into the community. and when they are dead, the world will be a better place.

edam · 03/10/2006 17:19

Assuming he's guilty (obv. not convicted yet), then I hope he is never let out.

But thank God he brought her back... not that that excuses the dreadful, awful crime.

it's cases like this which make me seriously doubt my own opposition to the death penalty

Callisto · 03/10/2006 20:15

Well everyone, if he gets the light sentence that paedos always seem to get I hope you will all be writing to Lord Goldsmith again. I hope they throw away the keys on this one but he will probably only get about 8 years like the baby rapist bloke.

JessaJackOLantern · 03/10/2006 20:18

Heard this on the news on way home in the car and was in tears. Left her in the alley and told her to face the wall - as if she had been naughty and had to 'stand in the corner' . Total and utter shitbag and I hope he gets what he deserves.

edam · 03/10/2006 20:20

Callisto, I'm a liberal lefty, but have long been appalled by the priorities of the criminal justice system. You'd get a longer stretch for robbery or property crimes than you do for violence or sex offences.

yes,he will probably get 5 years and be put in isolation for his 'own protection' like the pervs usually are.
if somebody finds children sexually attractive then they cant be rehabillitated, not like, say, someone whos stabbed a few people cos they have anger issues which can be delt with.
it makes my blood boil that people who sell drugs to other adults who are perfectly willing to buy them, get harsher sentences than perverts who pray on oinnocent children and wreck their entire lives.
i agree with the castration island for pedo's!hanging would be too good for them.

essanel · 03/10/2006 22:15

i agree that these people cannot be rehabilitated - look at attacks when person already had previous record and went on to do something else is sickening. I was abused by a "respected" member of our village and would go crazy if anyone touched my dd or ds - before having kids i always felt disgust at these kinds of stories but being a mum they have increased a hundred fold - definatley agree with the castration island suggestion!

hulababy · 01/12/2006 17:50

Setencing

He has been given three life sentences, each running concurrently. He will not be eligible for parole for another 10 years.

The judge also warned:

I am in no doubt you are a dangerous, predatory male.

"You will only be released into the community when the parole board considers it safe for you to be released. It may be that you will never be released, but that is a matter for others."

I hope he is never in a position to do anything like this again

danceswithreindeer · 01/12/2006 17:56

Carmenere I'm with you on this. He should be punished in every way. Fcking sick, deranged bstard.

WonderCod · 01/12/2006 17:57

god i hate these threads

hulababy · 01/12/2006 17:58

WonderCod · 01/12/2006 17:58

the fins start typing before i an stop them

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 01/12/2006 17:58

I hope so too Hula but I don't set too much store by the parole board. I read recently that a huge percentage of prisoners who get parole don't even have to face a board. They do a paper-based assessment as the board costs too much

TinsellyRhino · 01/12/2006 17:59

they shouldn't be put in isolation, they deserve all they get

hulababy · 01/12/2006 18:03

There is a lot of work that goes on prior to a board and on occasions a prisoner may not stand before the board, although normally they do - to give their version of things. Most of the work is done in the sixth months prior to the parole date however. A large amount of paperwork is done creating a parole dossier with reports fom various agencies within the prison and with probabtion, etc out of prison. A lot of work goes into this and this forms the greatest part of the parole. The various agencies will state whether they recommend or not for parole.

In a lot of cases a board, with the prisoner in attendance isn't really needed. It's just a formality. It is only in borderline cases, or in refusals where the baord is so important.
