there was a big article about this in the Sunday Times

moondog · 28/08/2006 18:29

Lordy, just seen more and pictures of her tomb on BBC World News.
She will gradually come round (althgouh her statement suggests she is grateful to him for keeping her away from fags, booze and 'false friends'.

In the book I read by the survivor of that Belgian nutter,MarcDutroux, she hints at a certain loyalty to him at the time.He claimed he was keeping her safe from a gang.

She has met the mum - mum has pic of dd on her phone and keeps kissing it she says.

Telegraph

(I wondered about the passport too - I read somewhere that she did something different that day and he said he would still have picked her up another day so I wonder if she had met him already and they had sort of planned this????)

makes you wonder whether their are other children in the same position
very story

wannaBe1974 · 29/08/2006 18:12

and the father is negotiating the rights to her story? "we think it could be worth at least £100000 euros. Bloody hell, his daughter turns up after being missing for 8 years and he's negotiating the rights to her story ...!

southeastastra · 29/08/2006 18:12

is he? are you sure?

MrsFio · 29/08/2006 18:13

the mum and dad are divorced, what has the mum said

wannaBe1974 · 29/08/2006 18:55

on page 3 of the times artacle it says he's been in contact with some journalist about the rights to her story. I'd imagine that as she's no longer a child the rights are hers to negotiate anyway.

apparently the mum wants her daughter to come and live with her, her room is untouched since the day she disappeared apparently but the daughter isn't too keen to live with her mum apparently.

I find this story haunting.
She's done an interview for Austrian TV. Here's a transcript - if your German is up to it!

Twiglett · 06/09/2006 21:18

I am horrifically drawn to this case ... and I'm not happy with my fascination for it

her interview in english

Twiglett · 06/09/2006 21:24

she's beautiful

hulababy · 06/09/2006 21:26

This is more detailed words from her.

I am still so shocked that this could happen. 8 years...so long.
