I just the media wouldn't dine out so much on the fact that her captor had been sexually abusing her. You can just see all their dirty mind running riot....

I've heard enough. I think the media need to back right off. But I seriously doubt they will. Especially since the girl kept a diary during her time with him.
I hope she can live a relatively normal life after this away from media, her parents and counsellors.

maybe she blames the mother a bit? she was reunited with the dad but i didn't see any mention of her meeting the mom and if they had a huge fight that morning beofre she was abducted...

lol Sue, think i probably weighed less at 18 than at 10! wish that were still the case.

she won't want to know her parents because (in her mind) they couldn't find her, they didn't save her, they abandoned her to a stranger and she probably remembers very little of them anyway.
also we have no idea what he told her about her parents do we?
i would hope there can be some reconciliation for the parents sake alone but i doubt it somehow.
she is an adult now anyway.

Just wondered cos a clip of the news I saw said that her identity was confirmed by her passport found in the cell, so she must have had it with her when she was abducted.
