on The World Tonight at 10. (It's not in the synopsis but was trailed, with the quote above, by Robin Lustig)

I don't understand why they keep harking on about her methods...it's about our right to say what the hell we like

Ok... we're all Disciplinatarians or Libertarians it seems...

Oh... finished - was that it?

donnie · 08/08/2006 22:33

but nothing about the freedom of speech issue, sadly.

ledodgyrobespierre · 08/08/2006 22:33

Short and sweet, missing the whole point as well!

SherlockLGJ · 08/08/2006 22:33

Was that it....................?

whimsy · 08/08/2006 22:33

Is that it, they have missed the point

fluttergandhibee · 08/08/2006 22:33

That was shit, can't believe I waited for it

morningpaper · 08/08/2006 22:33

thank god they didn't mention ME this time

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 08/08/2006 22:33

ursula you tuned into something else - nothing about holidays now. it's cricket

SherlockLGJ · 08/08/2006 22:33

FFS

This is about Freedom of Speech.

MissyCocker · 08/08/2006 22:33

State the bleedin' obvious why don't you.

GeorginaA · 08/08/2006 22:33

Erm... was that it?!

geekgrrl · 08/08/2006 22:33

was that it?
WTF is it so hard for the journos to get the issue right?

Tommy · 08/08/2006 22:34

that was all a bit dull then wasn't it? I stayed up for that!

oopschomsky · 08/08/2006 22:34

i thought this whole thing is about internet censorship.
It is potentially a very very interesting and worrying topic.

More interesting than whether or not your baby is in a routine tbh

UrsulatheSeawitch · 08/08/2006 22:34

WHAT HAVE I JUST MISSED AGAIN????????

OP posts:
GeorginaA · 08/08/2006 22:34

So how come she's not trying to close down the BBC then?

RosaLuxemburg · 08/08/2006 22:34

Oh, for the love of all things holy, what a shit item.

tallmummy · 08/08/2006 22:35

It's only just started but I can already tell it'll be like the Jeremy Vine show. It's more of a is 'she' right or wrong. Mumsnet's point was that we are entitled to free speech and that we were angered at the threat of being closed down. As Justine put across in many of her interviews today MN isn't anti 'you know who', there are many who admire her. The media seem to have taken the wrong angle. Bit drnk and tired, hope this makes sense.

Annner · 08/08/2006 22:35

Hmmm. That was worthwhile and really got to the crux of the issues. Not.

Not like R4 to miss the point entirely.

MercyTung · 08/08/2006 22:36

Well why don't we get a standardised email together to send out to the media?

RosaLuxemburg · 08/08/2006 22:36

I wish there was a head girl of all England I could write to.

She'd understand.

In fact, perhaps I should put myself up for the post.

Yes, that's a good idea.

All important ideas must be run by me now.

OK?

RosaLuxemburg · 08/08/2006 22:37

Or what Mercy said, which is eminently more sensible and less power-hungry revolutionary namechanger

UrsulatheSeawitch · 08/08/2006 22:38

(I was listening online to yesterday's ) (it said "latest edition")

(Will listen again later, lol!)
