Did anyone see the women with TWENTY children yesterday?

One of my prisoners was reading the newspaper when I visited him for an appointment yesterday - Mail I think, although not sure. There was an article in there and the women involved had twetnty children, none of which were multiple births. Eldest was 27 IIRR and there was pretty much one a year after that!

TWENTY children, can you imagine?!

Edam - No one died coz the whole bloody mat unit is on standby just for her! She also has other medical complications that have to be taken into account, so other specialists have to be on hand too. I guess hospital advise 'no more pregnancies' coz it costs em so much!

Lots of families in NZ like that too. Does not sound like the family will get any support for multi babies either. At least in NZ if you have triplets you get help.

my babysitter recorded a pg on sky about a woman who had 14 children. They were a bit like real life waltons, staunch christians, very wholesome etc. She coped by haivng a buddy system where the older children were paired off with the younger ones and took all responsibility for them. The kids also had 'jurisdictions' where they were responsible for tasks from cooking to laundry. I found some bits a bit sad, the kids were dressed and behaving like the brady bunch, completley out of touch with reality. They were moving to a bigger house and a girl of about 10 years old was saying how excited she was that there was going to be a larger laundry room so she could get it done really quickly! At first it seemed that all the mother did was delegate and churn out more kids, but then I was impressed that she was home schooling. The kids were even learning two music instuments each and even the little ones were playing violin! They all seemed very happy with their lifestyle, but I wouldn't choose it!

i went to school w/a girl who came from a family of 16. she was one of the older ones.

my sis saw her hte other day. she had herself sterilised at 35 and never had - or wanted - any kids.

my only comment (having not read any of yours) is - why the hell did this woman not leave the man 20 years ago? and why oh why did she continue to have so many more children with him?
