I think this is a disgusting thread OP. In my opinion we should always support our service men (despite what you might think of the politics behind any wars) they do what they do for US, to protect US. Its not like they can cherry pick which wars they will and won't fight in.

I do and will always wear my poppy for the men and woman who fight for their country, not for the wars themselves.

I dont think they protect us, thats the problem.

I also give a nice monthly donation to Help for Heroes, because that is exactly what they are.

Gecko, They do protect us, we are just not told all the times they stop attacks, It is just not so obvious these days.

The Home office stop attacks in this country (terrorist attacks that is) its nothing to do with the army.
