It's going to last six months.

At least Andy turned up with a poppy on. Nice touch. Bit early though.

I think he will. What he is accused of is minor comparitavely, and they will take the kid into consideration if or when...

Would love a pm. I reported your post smile just going by rules on commenting on court cases on newspaper sites thought your comment might have gone a tad far. Sure you were right though.

oh don't worry, PR - you were quite right - I would hate to derail the thread Grin

(I do have a tendency to post on here without engaging brain)

PetiteRaleuse · 02/11/2013 21:01

I know no-one. Just enjoying the show trial.

ExcuseTypos · 02/11/2013 23:37

I know nothing

thekitchenfairy · 03/11/2013 08:14

Delighted to have found this thread, thanks all for keeping me nicely up to date!

Greythorne · 03/11/2013 08:19

Just a general question, if a couple is found guilty and sent down, what happens to their children? Does the state automatically step in with a foster arrangement or can extended family step in?

ElizabethJonesMartin · 03/11/2013 08:54

Am I right that there is one child conceived by IVF, presumably after the affair was over? Do we know if it is RB's genetic child or a donated egg?

Levantine · 03/11/2013 09:17

I love this thread

TheOneWithTheNicestSmile · 03/11/2013 09:19

There was a surrogate mother iirc but no idea whose egg/sperm

ElizabethJonesMartin · 03/11/2013 10:21

wiki
"It was announced by Bell Pottinger that Rebekah and Charlie Brooks were expecting a daughter in early 2012 via a surrogate mother.[77] Scarlett Anne Mary Brooks was born at the private Portland Hospital in London on 25 January 2012"

MrsSquirrel · 03/11/2013 10:33

Greythorne AFAIK it's not automatic in the way you are describing. In theory, ss would prefer children to be looked after by family members, because it's usually better for the children. It may be considered a private fostering arrangement and the carers would be assessed by ss. (This is true of private fostering even when parents are not in prison.)

eddiemairswife · 03/11/2013 14:57

Perhaps Rebecca and Charlie's great friends ,the Camerons, would step in to care for the little one!
