It is a terrible waste of a young life. Fame seems to be a very damaging thing for young people.

According to Twitter, he and Lea Michele were due to be married shortly.

Yes, according to the Beeb article he first received treatment for drug addiction when he was 19, so it pre-dates his fame by quite some time.

Hadn't realised he had addiction problems for so long. Such a tragedy.

I don't know why this has made me so sad but it really has got to me. Glee is my secret pleasure on a sunday afternoon and I always thought Cory seemed like such a nice guy. Everytime I hear he died alone, I feel a little punch to my stomach. No one should be alone when they die.

The Beeb is reporting the autopsy report has confirmed an overdose of heroin and alcohol. What a terrible, terrible waste.

Drugs again. Terrible. He seemed like he'd got his act together. I feel terrible for Lea and his family.
