Poor baby Lily. At least now she is at peace and out of suffering. Sounds like her so short life was not at all nice. :(

How sad that whoever did this thought it was the only option.

ooh my god. just read this thread. that is so sad.it just doesn't bear thinking about what the baby went through. does anyone know if the police are any nearer to finding the mother?

This happened a couple of miles away from where my mum lives - no they have no idea who her mother is. They are planning to bury her in Great Alne church, but i am not sure when, and there was talk of asking for donations for a head stone.
It is so sad - how could any one do this to a baby

i know its shocking. i'm just hoping that the mother didn't do it and that this is a case of her being too scared to speak out against an abusive partner etc. although saying that why would you protect someone who has done that to your baby whatever the consequences? I suppose i'm also hoping that it isn't the mother because it would truely upset me that a mother could do that to her own child.
