Did Harry say this deliberately after his dad suggested Camilla was his parent?

I smiled when I read about Harry saying : "My mother, who believed passionately in this cause, would be proud of my association with Halo" after reading Charles said 'Harry shoved off knowing his ancient parents were here'

It reminded me Harry knows who his mother is despite the relentless spin by Charles and his buddies.

I really don't think that's true.. Kate wears her engagement ring, FFS.

bkgirl · 10/05/2013 23:29

Yes but Kate is married to William who I remember saying proudly years ago that his mother was a lady. Again, I think it's lovely she used his mums ring. It says a lot about both Wills and Kate. :)

I agree Viv, there must be many that would like to lessen her vital role.

Diana has been dead more than 15 years. The Queen Mother has been dead less than 5. The royals don't talk about the Queen Mother much either. Care to read something into that?

Overthinking it, no one will ever forget who Harry's mom was.

I refer to my dad & stepmum as "my parents" or "my folks". I'm not even very fond of stepmum! But she is a sort of parent to me.

(Reminds me American Mother's Day is tomorrow)

AViewFromTheFridge · 11/05/2013 08:32

Hazel, I read that as "living with Dorothy" and thought it was some sort of comment on his sexuality!

limitedperiodonly · 11/05/2013 08:58

If Diana had lived I wonder whether her sons would find her a little wearing from time to time.

I imagine she'd need plenty of assurance along the lines of: 'No, Mummy, you're way foxier than Kate's Ma.'

Chubfuddler · 11/05/2013 09:09

If she had lived I would hope at 50 she would have been a bit more emotionally intelligent than she had been in her 30s. She was very young when she died.

Harry does look amusingly like one of Di's many lovers but the dates don't add up. He's Charles'.

Charles probably couldn't be bothered to say 'his ancient father and stepmum'.

sorry, OP - some of us thought Di a waste of space and quite like Camilla. Anyway, Di forgot the seatbelt and is dead, and Charles has made a happy second marriage.

Harry is getting more like his Dad - is anyone really suggesting that no one absolutely no one in all his years at school and army etc didn't take a hair from his head or a cup from his table and have his dna tested to see if it's the same as his dad's or brothers, I mean this would have been the newspaper scoop of the century. He's probably had more tests done than anyone.

Snazzynewyear · 15/05/2013 01:11

Harry looks just like Charles in the face - I don't understand why some people don't seem to see this! He looks more like him than William, who got more of Diana in his features. The Spencer red hair gets people speculating but he is the spit of Charles otherwise.

bkgirl · 15/05/2013 01:40

I agree Snazzy and I am sure if there was any doubt it was checked! Thank goodness the brothers are close.

So from skimming this thread I summarise that Diana's sister and Lance Armstrong are Harry's parents.

And that he got Cheryl Cole pregnant.

Did I miss anything?

HazeltheMcWitch · 15/05/2013 19:15

Arf at all the suggestions for Harry's father.

Look here at pic 4 (DM WARNING) to see a pic of a ginger Charles. Really no doubt.

LadyIsabellaWrotham · 15/05/2013 19:20

ROFL at Neil Armstrong as Harry's dad. It's every conspiracy theory ever wrapped up with a lovely bow.

clam · 16/05/2013 18:44

I have never, ever been able to see the slightest resemblance between Harry and Charles. Nothing. That doesn't mean they're not related though.
Mind you, I fail to see what a resemblance between Harry and his cousin (George McCorquodale) has to do with anything? They're related through his mother, so his father would be irrelevant.

And whilst we shouldn't speak ill of the date and I respect William and Harry's clear affection for their late mother, I think she was a complete fruit-cake and all those who were weeping and wailing as if they'd lost a close relative, had no idea of who she was or what she was really like.
