I saw a kid of about two the other day with a camouflage-type T-shirt with a black skull on it and the words "Bad to the Bone". Lovely looking little boy too. It's so Sad I also saw a child of about 7 tottering about on really tall wedges and a pink leopard-print top. I think it should be illegal to sell shoes with heels for children - it must be a disaster for developing feet Shock

I do a similar thing to you Marina, but it usually involves e-bay, due to skint SAHM status Grin

wtf is it with skulls on little boys clothes. this really peeved me when ds moved from 3mths-4yrs in next up to age 4+ and it's all hideous shite

Will have a look Marina but was hoping for cheaper than Vertbaudet. DS was wearing a nice pair of lime/blue stripey Vertbaudet shorts on Saturday - Mum, Dad, Grandma and Grandad all thought he looked lovely; DS thought he looked "babyish".

Whatever our circs Greensleeves, we can usually dupe little boys Wink in their own best interests of course.

How old is he bozza? I have a lovely pale-ish plain orange hoodie that ds has outgrown and is unlikely to appeal to "My a fairy" dd. Not sure of size (prob 4-5) or precise location at mo but it is in good nick and somewhere in Squalor Hollow if you're interested...
It dates from the time that M & S did children's clothes I wanted to buy.

That would be lovely marina. DS is 5 but on the small side so it does sound like it would fit. Thank you. Smile My DD is a cardigan wearer - anything that can vaguely be described as a "car-ci-ca" she will happily wear so will probably try to pinch it.

Have to have a rummage at the weekend Bozza, will CAT you Monday with verdict. Ds is small too and it fitted him fine last summer (aged six).

I have one of those too. Dd attempted to leave for nursery dressed in a pair of ds' short shorts school swimming trunks, and her giant hairy mohair cardigan.

"poorly briefed" of course bundy. I am sure a blushing researcher has been dispatched with a flea in ear to find some of the plentiful examples of sexualised tat still available on our high streets. Not on Ken High Street or the King's Road though, DC - try sending your researcher out to the burbs to see what the rest of us have to choose from!

i'm sure jnr missoni's logos are perfectly acceptable in W11. still in shock at one of my neighbours giving her dd's castoffs to my dd1 - gotham angels dress and skirt, prob more than i'd spend on myself when new Blush

Agree it is foul. Cheap and cheerful is usually cheap and cheap, desperately hunted through MAtalan kids section for t-shirt for ds without skull or "grunge kid" or "baby goth" on it (wrong in SO many ways, and I WAS a blimmin grunge kid back in 1993!!) Did find a nice surf-y one in the end.

Will admit I secretly used to quite like fact they do padded bras for (pre)teens, until discovered that even they don't come in my blimmin size ( great! smaller than a pre-teen!)

justine, didn't you have a baby recentley?, shouldn't you be taking some maternity leave?

Damn I didn't notice her even though I've had 5 on in the background all day. My 15 month old has been very vocal!

Perhaps I'll be able to listen again online.

Fat Face do nice clothes for boys - if a little pricey - a bit surfer type but I like them...no skull and crossbones thank god! Can't understand little girls in heels, just awful. Are WH Smith still doing playboy stationery?

Thanks for the link St George. Smile

Hmmm, may have to warn my mum that we don't want any of those "nice pink clothes with the rabbit on" for dd...

have just listened to the interview with justine.i thought simon mayo was being a bit thick saying that the playboy bunny was 'just a rabbit'.It's a logo for a porn mag! and by our children being exposed to this from such a young age, they will find it normal and acceptable when they are they older.
it's not just the clothes.it's the copies of fhm and zoo and nuts being in their faces at the newsagents,it's bratz dols,it's more magazine being absolutely full of nothing but sex-and quite graphic sex at that.
They are being exposed to material that is way too adult-everywhere!
hell would freeze over before i would vote tory but i'm afraid to say i'm with david cameron on this.

I only caught the beginning of the Five Live discussion as I arrived at work - I have hung around if I'd realised there was an mn input!

I agreed completely with what David Cameron said, but was surprised at hearing several of the initial callers implying that it wasn't his job to raise these issues?!!!

What are politicians for, if not to address things which concern the general public?

Why is there a market for these clothes in the first place?
