A lot of young people don't like Aspergers, because if said with a hard 'g', the response is often - Do you want fries with that.
As an aside, this is an Aspie family. Five out of six in this house.

MrsFuzzy, My DS & his friends use Aspie. He doesn't like saying he is Autistic Spectrum, so tends to tell people he's an Aspie.
If you go onto websites created by young people with HFA or Aspergers, most of them talk about themselves as Aspies.

i've learnt something new today dawn and post, when i think about it what your'e both saying makes sense now HEY WORLD! I HAVE A 20YEAR OLD SON WHO IS AN ASPIE AND I'M IMMENSELY PROUD OF HIM !! do you know something ladies? that felt really good!
