I can fit into my bigger cords, but my jeans aren't keen on my thighs!!!

JanH · 15/03/2006 12:26

Oh, sorry, Fs Blush

(I'll keep an eye out for one for you! The ones that are flabby and crepey aren't going to be flashing it though, are they Grin)

No DG I agree with you - see my post below. And I remember when DS was born in February and there was snow on the ground I really felt the cold.

JanH · 15/03/2006 12:39

My DDs go about like that all the time so I don't think twice about it any more!

Bozza · 15/03/2006 12:43

Oh yes JanH I did that when I was your DD's age - and especially at night when I had a bit of alcohol in me to keep me warm. But when I had just had DS I was so cold - lost all that lovely padding from my stomach.

SoupDragon · 15/03/2006 12:51

I lost all the weight from being pregnant with DD within a fortnight.

Mind you, my tummy is most definitely not for public display!! It has to be tucked down in my trousers.

Lucycat · 15/03/2006 12:52

My great aunt would have s fit if she saw her flashing her belly - 'your kidneys will catch cold - nothing to protect all your internal organs' then again she was born in 1900! flashing one's belly was not de rigeur in the 1920's!!

GDG · 15/03/2006 12:53

LOL at 'it has to be tucked down in my trousers' - omg am peeing myself laughing!!

Boopert · 15/03/2006 12:57

After ds1 it took a year to get back into my jeans! And then as soon as i did, i got pg again!!! And then lost weight for my wedding, looked lovely, then got pg AGAIN!!!! So this time i am staying fat. Obviously being slim gets me pg.....

Tinker · 15/03/2006 13:25

I was in my jeans after 10 days as well - did have to pull my tummy in a bit but...

spacecadet · 15/03/2006 13:28

ive got to confess that 8 days after having dd1, i left the hospital in a crop top, but i was only 18!
after having dd2 18 months ago, i left the hospital in my maternity trousers!

SoupDragon · 15/03/2006 13:28

GDG, it's that or a muffin top :o

starlover · 15/03/2006 13:29

i know someone like that... had a 10lb baby and was back to normal a few days after.

it's all to do with how good your stomach muscles are BEFORE you get pg/have baby. My friend is a dancer so was very toned and had good tumym muscles.. thus they went back to normal sooner

nulnulcat · 15/03/2006 13:44

i went to the gym through most of my pregnancy so my stomach muscles were toned to start with left hospital in my size 10 jeans and was thinner than i was before by the time she was 10 days old i was breast feeding and the weight just fell off. i know i was lucky but its not an age thing i was 32 but the only give away i had just had a baby was the huge leaky boobs. dont think she intended to flash her stomach off, i have a similar track suit and the top always rides up flashing your middle particularly if she had been bending over getting car seat out of car

ggglimpopo · 15/03/2006 13:46

I was like that after number one. After number five was a different matter......Shock

Enid · 15/03/2006 13:51

isn't it a belt?

TwoIfBySea · 15/03/2006 20:53

One of my friends is a Envy size 8/10 and she almost immediately lost her tummy after dd2 arrived. I know she didn't have a mend it like Beckham or anything.

She is just lucky.

Sob.

I still have a baby belly 4 years on!

CaptainCavemansMummy · 15/03/2006 21:01

Not to be recommended but I was having such bad panic attacks that I ate very little for the first 5 days of ds's life - coupled with bfing and being knackered, meant I was back in my normal clothes by the time I left hospital.

threelittlebabies · 15/03/2006 21:32

Oh Nooo, that has depressed me. I don't look like that 6 months later ShockSad

Rhubarb · 15/03/2006 21:35

Is that her belly hanging out from under her coat?

schnapps · 15/03/2006 21:50

I'm sure that's not bare flesh we can see. It looks more like a belt or a t-shirt hanging down from under her top. So, she could actually have a bit of flab underneath the baggy tracksuit and big coat.
There, does that make eveyone feel better ? Grin

Eve2005 · 15/03/2006 21:53

i was a size 8 pre baby and was wearing a t-shirt that didn't quite hit my jeans a week after birth, more to do with the fact that dd had spit up on every other t-shirt i owned and hadn't dug out the washing machine yet! wasn't hanging out though, stretchy skin kinda popped back after birth, just a size bigger all over
