Whilst I sympathaise with the family who were taken hostage, this happens to people up and down the country every week and do the police brek their necks to catch the criminals. Im sick of hearing about this robbery, what about the rapists and murderers and those who abuse children or attack old vulnerable people. I would rather hear on the news what we as a nation are doing to combat that.

Am I alone here but Im fed up of hearing about this robbery.

Thanks Meerkats

I was too tired when I came home last night, to discuss this any further.

Also you have to be aware that nes that comes out about murder hunts and invetiagtions is tricktly controlled so as not to prejudice a trial. this can sometimes hold a story down and make you think it doesn't matter.
I lived in Fleet in Hants when Millie Dowler was murdered, her body was found less than 4 miles from where we lived in the forest where we walked everyday.
It is naturdal to feel more empathy with an 11 yr old boy being murdered on his way home from school and I "care" more about that case as I have a 12 yr old that walks home and has suffered bullying problems and been attacked before.
However my Mum also used to work for Securitas.
IT's often about how you identify with a crime.
Not many of us identify with losing £53 mill huh?
But for many reasons of course it should be pursued vigorously and as they need the publics help more than anything else, that explains why it is such a "visible" news story.

You dont know that it goes on drugs and terrorism, there was more than one person involved in this robbery and Im sure they all hoped to get their share and live the life of luxury. The guy they have in custody was a millionaire anyway.

A millionaire or was he ??

He was living at the farm with his wife and daughters, but organised a potentially violent robbery with his girlfriend, so things are never quite what they seem.

I agree with you there.
