Anyone know what happened to the kidnapped (or birdnapped I guess) penguin?

A few weeks ago, the penguin was taken from a zoo or somewhere.... was it ever returned???

nope. never got returned. but the parents have had another egg!

Oh yeah I was wondering about that the other day.. good question!

Awww, yay for the other egg... doesn't make up for the missing baby though I know they are penguins, but it still must hurt.....

Oh thats so sad, I mean I don't know how penguins process thoughts, but at the end of the day she's a mummy penguin and she must know one of her babies had gone.

Happy about another egg for them though.

Mumatuks - I have to buy bananas in a bunch from the shop, regardless of how many I need, because my friend told me that its splitting up a family otherwise, and they get all sad and lonely left on the shelf!

Oh and also, although this will lower my mumsnet cred to nil... what about the spiders that you find in the bath and then put outside? I mean, what if it was Daddy spider out to find food for mummy and the babies and now we've put him outside he'll never get back in?! Poor mummy spider will be waiting for him with the babies wondering where daddy spider has got to!

I think I have led a sheltered life! I remember the episode of Friends, where Phoebe gets to see the real ending of Old Yellow, rather than the one where her mum turned it off early so she didn't know he died!.. Yup that could be me too!

they probably just go off and hide somewhere.... i see poorly pigeons from time to time
