... because what is basically gay marriage is legal this week.

And no one REALLY minds.

Which makes me very appreciative that I live in this country.

When I had ds my dh bought me a pair of diamond earings. I said, 'If he marries they can go to his wife on their wedding day' dh piped up, 'And if he is gay they can have one each' LOL

i never thought about it much, until the er episode a few years ago about a couple who had been together for something like thirty years, butthe docotrs couldnt use her say so to turn of the life support machine, and were caling up the womans brother, whom she hadnt spoken to fr several decades, as he was the legal next of kin. and this poor woman, who was basically the wife, was left there helpless about decisions affecting her life partner.

that was when i decided it was important to have it legal. and that is also why i dont understand heterosexual couples who dont get married.

I loved one of the bride's(??) response to the protesters outside telling her she was damned for all eternity, 'You'd be so lucky to have this girl, love. I'll see you at the gates of heaven'.
