Prescott doesn't pay any council tax

Did anyone else see this story on the front page of the Sunday Times. He owns three homes and pays CT on none of them.
Tax on his official country residence is paid by charitable trust. His grace and favour pad at Whitehall has none. And he is entitled to claim back as an expense the CT on his home in Hull. This is despite an average rise in CT of 76% since he has been in office. Makes me

Caligula, why would it irritate you that TB doesn't need all his salary?
The truth is, he was a successful barrister at very highly regarded chambers before entering politics. His earnings would be on par with his wives had he not left.
I never understand why people complain about MP's salaries. Many of these men and women would be earning a lot more had they stayed working in the private sector.

Obviously there should be an apostrophe in wive's. Not implying he has more than one!
