Well I hold no brief at all for Murdoch but I felt for Wendi a bit today. I don't think she's a particularly nice person either but seeing somebody attack your elderly husband is not something anybody should have to experience. Good for her for defending him.

I'll say one thing, if ever I'm in a fight I want Wendy Murdoch on my side!

When the Murdochs first came in Wendi was busying herself pouring water for RM. I didnt realise it was her and thought she was a member of staff until I saw her face.

Still don't get why Brooks says she only knew about Milly two weeks ago when it was in Hugh Grant's article in The New Statesman months ago, to which Stephen Fry tweeted link at the time for his billions of followers. Surely she was aware of it, particularly as she was accused of knowing about the hacking in the same piece.

I assume she knew about it at the time but can only be pinned down (so far) to two weeks ago.

Apparently you can tell when people are telling lies, and MI5, police interrogators etc are trained to watch for tiny split-second expressions on people's faces. One of them is when the eye brows are raised in the middle (saw it on a TV programme years ago). People fidget and scratch their nose too. Apparently. But I shouldn't think it would work with accomplished liars or people who live in a fantasy world ...

When I tell lies I usually start giggling inanely. Quite a give away.
