I know there are threads flying about all over the place re; the strike, but this is purely to register support - it would be great if we could keep it going until midnight on Thursday ( 30th June )

you don't have to say anything - just smile, like this Smile

I support the strike. So does ds - he's really fed up that the other class in his year get to have the day off but his teacher isn't striking. Grin

Exactly NorthenerAtHeart;

We have to support the unions of this country - if we don't we're all fucked.
And as for the moaners - give up your holiday pay, your sick pay, and every other benefit unions fought for.

yeah right - sure you will.

But I am biased as I am a striking teacher. Initially, I felt guilty but Michael Gove's ridiculous and insulting comments have made me feel quite strongly about this

Teachers have been forced to defend themselves from government incompetence and idiocy. As have so many other workers across the country!

I support services for the public good.

Average pensions are really very low for lots of women, around the minimum wage, so it's worth striking about.

Great blog post about it here

Full support from me. DD's school is closed but even if it wasn't I wouldn't have allowed her to cross a picket line. Thanks for the link to www.j30strike.org/
