I can't think of any pop music I want at my funeral. I actually do want Jerusalem!

At my mums funeral last month we played her 3 favourite songs. GOing in she had Elvis singing Amazing Grace, the second and most heart wrenching song was Old Rugged Cross sung by Daniel o donnell and my mum came out of the church to SOFT CELL singing TAINTED LOVE. We only sang one hymn which was adide with me.

A close friend of DH's died aged 18 and they played Monty Python's 'Always Look on the Bright Side of Life' and Queen's 'Don't Stop Me Now'. It was very emotional.

When my SIL died last year we played her favourite Snow Patrol song and as we walked quietly into the church with it playing, her 8yr old son piped up 'Mummy loved this song'. Incredibly moving and we knew we made the right decision as soon as he said it.

Cod my mother wants All Things Bright and Beautiful at her funeral as it makes her happy. My Dad on the other hand wants everybody to wear Hawaiian shirts and us to play Suzi Quatro's 'Devil Gate Drive' and 'The Monster Mash'. No idea why, but we will!

kleggie, the thought of your 8 yr old nephew saying that is making me feel very and reminding me of my 2 nephews and neice (all school age) at my brother's funeral

i recently read about a drag queen's funeral in Brighton and the coffin was carried in to 'All the Boys I've loved before' which I thought was crackin'!

A young friend, between his death and his funeral, was discovered to be a closet Spice Girls fan club member...he was carried out to Viva Forever which actually heartbreaking...

I'm determined to have something overly dramatic like 'without you' and will haunt anyone who doesn't cry
