And those of you with young 'uns, have you clocked your hands against their skin as you're giing cuddles?

aloha · 15/10/2005 20:18

You can do anything digitally. We've covered up bald patches, awful spotty scarred skin, erased bags, covered bones (anorexic model), bruises (god knows!), wierd staples in the head holding in hair extensions (eeek!), made celebs thinner, removed tattoos, redness, cosmetic surgery scars, straightened wonky toes, taken off lines, you name it!

Cameron Diaz, anyone? Apparently, that gal is a poster child for Accutane IRL.

Mog · 15/10/2005 20:29

Sometimes I feel I'm going back to being a teenager - you know you would look at the skinny/fit models and want to be like them. Now it's looking at the +40 stars and thinking they haven't got a line, so that's what to aim for. Silly really and think I need to stop buying Hello magazine

expatinscotland · 15/10/2005 20:32

Sharon Stone! Man, look at her. She looks younger now than she did in 'Total Recall'. How'd that happen ?

codface · 15/10/2005 21:13

mealnie griffiths

Mum2girls · 15/10/2005 21:17

She's the same age as me and I'm equally as gorgeous.

Tinker · 15/10/2005 23:41

I've never understood the fuss over Demi Moore. It's those thin lips and that masculine jawline. She looks very hard, I think, and a bit cheap looking.

I've always thought she is v pretty. Any work she's had done on her face is extremely well done.

Don't know if this is true, but Ashton Kutcher is quoted as saying something(about Demi)along the lines of, "I used to fantasise about her when I was a kid and now I'm f*ing her".

If true, that is foul.

ScrewballMuppet · 16/10/2005 10:31

Those pics are lovely but give me the creeps its like the twilight zone when you you see a person in a picture from years and years ago but still look the same in the present not aging iin the slightest.
She is beautiful but surely when you smile you get smile lines and she doesn't haven't any unless the pics have been airbrushed.
Ashton Kutcher top man for saying no to more surgery!

monkeytrousers · 16/10/2005 11:08

So right Cod. When I walk around campus now I'm struck by the youthful illuminosity of the faces around me. I never noticed it when I was young. Must be something you only become aware of when you no longer have it. Everyone looks so beautiful. Ah, the bloom of youth..But can't chemical peels give you back just a little of the glow, Aloha?

i'd bet my bottom dollar that ashton never said that - it's a cunning smokescreen to cover up any further surgery demi's got lined up

not very cool to have obvious 'work' done these days

monkeytrousers · 16/10/2005 11:34

I've only ever managed to get rid of redeye in photoshop, or distort everything like a house of mirrors. Not really the desired effect.

MT - we sent all our images to a specialist retouching agency, where one person would work on a cover image for up to five hours. I'm not joking. You can do ANYTHING. We flipped features to make them more symmetrical, reduce/enlarge the ratio of head to body (some people have giant heads and tiny bodies, others have small heads and trucker's shoulders), add freckles and a sparkle in the eye, whiten and even change the shape of teeth.
As for chemical peels, it's all laser nowadays and while they can freshen you up a bit, there really is no substitute for youth, sadly.
I loved a quote I once read where someone was looking at her old photos and said, 'we though we were so old and fat, and we were so young and thin'.

freakyzebra · 16/10/2005 18:46

Totally agree with Tinker; Demi Moore is one of the most boring looking (not ugly, just not especially pretty) people I can think of.

And I've never been esp. impressed by her body, either!

monkeytrousers · 16/10/2005 19:03

So true, Aloha..
