KangarooCaught · 12/02/2011 12:09

Was so oooooh, I can't remember! It was in the chatty bit with 'experts' about 9.45ish this morning with Susannah.

Will try and locate it.

Adair · 12/02/2011 12:18

Yes, I recognised your posting names then thought 'oops, maybe i Do spend too much time on the internet' Blush

Oh I agree. Its absolutley shocking the way some Mums behave.

Fathers would never spend too much time on the internet, on the XBox, or at work, or playing golf, or down the pub, or at football matches....

Bluemary3000 Thu 10-Feb-11 15:58:38
What a bizarre article, why would someone take the time to right something like that. Yes I go on the internet and ignore my children to a certain extent but I also do the housework and ignore them. I do play with them lots periodically throughout the day, but they need to learn to play on their own and mummy needs some down time. What a load of rubbish!!

OP posts:
KangarooCaught · 12/02/2011 12:23

oh, xposted, you found your bit?

OP posts:
BaroqueAroundTheClock · 12/02/2011 12:29

yes someone said on the other thread it was the bit where I found other ways to ignore my children even when I didn't have TV, internet or phone Grin

wish I'd heard it LOL.

KangarooCaught · 12/02/2011 12:33

You were quoted in a nice red box with your posting name at the bottom Smile

OP posts:
Psammead · 12/02/2011 20:08

purplepidjin · 12/02/2011 20:13

They put 4 or 5 quotes together, one after the other with posting names, and then discussed it with their 'experts' - but it was very quick.

OP posts:
KangarooCaught · 12/02/2011 20:27

I think they somewhat missed the tongue in cheek bit!

OP posts:
ValiumSandwichTime · 12/02/2011 20:50

It's a little bit funny to think of BeenBeeta (an Irish man/dad) being discussed on the BBC news as a representitive of British neglectful mums!

I'd die if my screen name was quoted in a paper or on the bbc news. They don't ask for persmission for that do they?! I'd feel like somebody had been looking in my window while I was picking my nose.

Psammead · 12/02/2011 20:52

Thanks, Kangaroo!

Gosh, if I had known they would quote I would have explained a bit more what I meant. Oh well!

Psammead · 12/02/2011 20:54

Valium, yeah, I know what you mean!

I am also not in the UK, so they didn't pick very good people.

BaroqueAroundTheClock · 12/02/2011 20:57

LOL - and of course I'm constantly neglecting my children and never spend any time talking to them or doing things with them EVER

They are wild, feral children Hmm.Grin
