deeply agree, snafsicle, it should have said "which of these comes the closest to the meaning of" ... because, really, you are not meaning "quiet" when you say someone is "taciturn", are you. Connotation is quite different.

  1. Seemed KS2 to me. I hate how many estate agents can't spell accommodation. Bit like my other pet hate - definitely. Yes, I am officially sad.

triceratops · 16/09/2005 08:24

17 for me. I am not too hot am I. I blame my crap education and the fact that I haven't read eats shoots and leaves because I find apostrophe pedantism irritating.

Hulababy · 16/09/2005 08:37

I got 17/20. I messed up on a couple of the meanings.

sassy · 16/09/2005 08:53

I got 17 Lost concentration half way through and messed up the hyphenated one. Agree with binkie about the meanings tho. I went for the ones that seemed nearest and it obviously wasnt any of the others.

Hopefully do better at the maths.

ScummyMummy · 16/09/2005 14:20

20- it's a reletively easy one I reckon because my spelling and grammar can be very poor sometimes.

ParisMum · 16/09/2005 14:39

19 for me. Not bad for a girlie who's been out of the country for the past 6 years.

ScummyMummy · 16/09/2005 14:39
