It's the reason I clicked on the thread in the first place, after all...

But the fact is they still lived in a town. And even in some of the poorest towns in the world, people who have jobs (especially one who runs a flour mill - just checked the other stories) are able to at least own mattresses (ok not 'flash' ones like we have here) but something to sleep on.

A 5x4ft room isn't exactly big - I could hardly move in there and I'm short!
