anyone else think he's fab? He's so clearly been moved by Katrina and his anger at times is palpable. I know objectivity is key to being a good journalist but sometimes caring is too

Nooooooo. I have my limits, dammit, even moi. I know just what you mean

bakedpotato · 09/09/2005 19:10

MA's BBC nickname is 'the prince'

motherinferior · 09/09/2005 19:14

Thank you for that, BP, it has cheered me after a week which I can't even finish with a drink.

bubble99 · 09/09/2005 19:58

Matt Frei has flarey nostrils. Still, at least he has nostrils and a septum, which is an achievement in his line of work.

I love his awkward questions too. Old slimey pants Marr wasn't too good at those.

monkeytrousers · 09/09/2005 20:04

I've snogged a BBC reporter. Can say who though

monkeytrousers · 09/09/2005 20:05

Cant, I mean!!!

monkeytrousers · 09/09/2005 20:05

Tisk, can't

monkeytrousers · 09/09/2005 20:40

Please don't tell me I killed it!

bossykate · 09/09/2005 20:43

mf has been wonderful reporting on katrina - don't fancy him though.

Earlybird · 09/09/2005 21:03

Just caught the end of a report on BBC News where the question was posed whether Matt Frei had become too emotionally involved in the Katrina story and had lost his reporter's objectivity. He was defended by someone (didn't catch his name, but presumably a BBC exec) who said that Matt obviously felt passionately about certain aspects of the story.

There were also accusations discussed concerning whether the BBC reporting was engaging in too much "Bush bashing".

snafsicle · 09/09/2005 21:09

Matthew Amroliwala wears stack heels too apparently (from a reliable ex-Breakfast source)

bakedpotato · 09/09/2005 21:19

gingerbear · 09/09/2005 21:24

George Alagiah

The bloke that looks like Wayne Sleep has got pierced nipples. Him with the ears....

bakedpotato · 09/09/2005 21:25

Yes, yes, Evan Davis! Indeed, thanks to MN I know that Motherinferior has seen them (the nipples in question, I think before they were pierced)

gingerbear · 09/09/2005 21:28

He is about 4 foot 2 inches tee hee!!

gingerbear · 09/09/2005 21:28

I like him though. Like clever blokes, they do something for me,,,,

Give me my personal fave - Krishnan Guru-Murphy - any day. The rest of you can keep your BBC guys!

pepsi · 10/09/2005 08:12

I was only thinking how brilliant Matt Frei has been over the last few days and then I came on here and it seems im not the only one. He has been there on the ground the whole time. Certainly deserves some praise.

gingerbear · 10/09/2005 08:15

Agree about Matt Frei, excellent journalism. He hasn't stayed in the comfort of cushy Washington job has he?

monkeytrousers · 10/09/2005 08:51

He's an Israel/Palestine correspondent BT. Thats all I'm saying!

hatstand · 10/09/2005 09:09

Hey, you know I said Mark Austin was no relation to Jane? There's a letter in the Guardian today with the heading "say aloha to Jane Austin" (about an American in a Hawaaian shirt weeping at her epitaph in Winchester Cathedral) - that's a good one to go out on! (Last broadsheet today)
