I think a bit of carrot cake, made using a WW2 recipe, would be just the thing. Frugal and filling at the same time, to show we are Serious about this.

I agree - it's important to be organised. There is no point in being unprepared. I shall practise my half-hitches to be on the safe side, and will get the DCs onto bandage rolling this evening.

elliemental · 06/08/2010 20:25

I am in. I am revolting all the time, not just for Christmas.

missmoopy · 06/08/2010 20:36

TheHouseofMirth · 07/08/2010 15:34

TheHouseofMirth · 07/08/2010 15:42

here's the link to the site. "Can't pay. Won't pay" are words I never thought I'd hear again after the anti Poll Tax demos of the early 90s Sad

bumpsoon · 07/08/2010 20:29

tethersend · 07/08/2010 21:22

Oooh, have I missed it?

I want in!

jodevizes · 08/08/2010 14:46

To the barricades Sisters. Let us see the millionaire politicos and bankers hanging from Londons lamp posts.

Why wait for the price of bread and flour to rocket before storming the Houses of Parliament.

MmeLindt · 08/08/2010 17:38

Oh, I do like Tony Benn.

I wrote TB there, but it looked like I was expressing a preference for Tony Blair.

Can I do it from Switzerland? I can picket the Swiss branches of the banks.

BigBadMummy · 08/08/2010 17:48

went to see Tony Benn chatting once. Can't really call it a gig, but it was just him chatting to the audience.

DH booked it as a date when we first started seeing each other, it was fab!

Such a great bloke to listen to.

SlowlyLosingItQuicker · 08/08/2010 18:09

I'm in! Can't resist those puppy dog eyes.

ButterpieBride · 08/08/2010 19:07

NinthWave · 08/08/2010 19:24

theskiinggardener · 08/08/2010 20:08

I'm in my sisterhood brethren

Um, should I mention cake on the placards?

wonderstuff · 08/08/2010 20:18

I'm in, but can anyone explain why LGBT is listed on the groups of vunerable people being affected by the cuts?

[digs out thermos to fill with tea]

LadyBlaBlah · 08/08/2010 21:28

I'm in.

I've got one of those pointy / indiany woolen hats that has ear flaps with long straps. It's like I was born for this.

junkcollector · 08/08/2010 23:05

I'm in.

You can tell The Guardian is thoroughly enjoying itself in opposition at the moment.

glastocat · 08/08/2010 23:34

I'm in, but I'm in Ireland. I think we need a revolution here even more than the UK. Ivor Callely should be second, after Bertie Aherne.
