cornsilk1010 · 06/08/2010 19:24

Go Tony!

dreamylady · 06/08/2010 19:26

Great, thats 3 of us, you me and Tony. TBH its just great to have a change from the crushing misery of daily bad news. It never ocurred to me that there might be some actual rabble rousing to be done - we have become so passive in the wake of nulab's 'ignore everyone - we know best' approach.

Riven - I would be envious, were you not such a celebrity in your own right . Dave would get one of his flunkies to steal you a pint off the old bloke in the corner who's too frail to fight him for it.

Shall I burn my bra for good measure as well?

Oh I just LOVE Tony Benn. I wish he was my Grandad!

I'm in, I'll bake snacks for when we get hungry after chaining ourselves to things/people Grin

SwansEatQuince · 06/08/2010 20:04

It is refreshing to hear a proper politician speak the truth.

Honeydragon · 06/08/2010 20:11

brings cake to revolution

dh will be happy, he's been muttering about one for aaages in his shed Grin

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 06/08/2010 20:14

Oooh, what sort of cake are you bringing? Shall I fill the Thermos and bring the travel blankets?

Honeydragon · 06/08/2010 20:16

I'm not sure what would be revolutionary cake wise, possibly a tray bake .... oooh and some potatoes to bake in the oil drum.

This is a mumsnet revolution it is important to be organised.

dreamylady · 06/08/2010 20:16

they've got an email address! Can we have a virtual revolution then? [email protected]

There's a conference in Camden in November, so you can get some sleep in before then Riven Grin

TOny Benn's daughter once handed out leaflets entitled 'stop sexism in the Benn household' in the hall at the bottom of their stairs. I think she also put up posters next to the washing machine.

I think that's brilliant

MarionCole · 06/08/2010 20:20

My grandad was just like Tony, but with a Lancashire accent.

midnightexpress · 06/08/2010 20:21

Ha. this'll be the Guardian that encouraged its readers to vote LibDem will it?

Though yes, count me in. I adore TB - one of the few conviction politicians left standing.
