I can't understand the way this is being reported

sad story about family of 4 found dead.

I seems to me that if 3/4 of of the family were stabbed and the remaining one hung himself then the most likely victims are those who were stabbed and the one who hung himself is most likely responsible for their deaths. So why is this being treated as some kind of incident over money worries?

Sure, there may be other evidence that we and the press do not know but isn't it wrong to report it the way it is being reported?

Another family with small children murdered, probably by the one person who should have been protecting them.

is that because of the male editors?

So when women kill their own children, what's that about, if not property?

NB, this is not a "poor man" argument. I was genuinely shocked recently to discover that when it comes to killing your own kids, women are pretty much on a par with men.

The reasons may be different, perhaps more women kill neonates due to PND/PN psychosis, perhaps men kill older children. I honestly don't know.

maybe both women and men kill as 'protection'?

When reading about this today, I was reminded of the Secretly Poor thread also.

The "protection" thing is appealing, and seems to "explain", at least on the surface, many child-killings.

oldlady- yes it's true that mothers who kill their childen tend to be suffering from postnatal psychosis, whereas men are more likely to kill older children, either as a culmination of prolonged abuse or sudden acts of violence which often have a backstory of financial problems
