Hey all
My living room is good at the minute and very decluttered so am liking the zone too! We are buying a desk this week to move the computer into the dining room (which is almost a through living/dining), so bump will have a bedroom to store all its stuff in and eventually sleep in! So living room focus suits me.

Good to see you scatty hope visitors were good.

Fed up of heat too, been really busy though today and also tomorrow. Going to chiropodist - never been before, usually do DIY (bad) job so thought I'd let an expert do it!

BB tomorrow

swanriver · 28/06/2010 22:17

crazy hot indeed!

today I have done
hoovered bedroom finally
ministered to ds2/dr's etc
shopped
booked manual driving test (sorry if I am repeating myself - not sure which thread I'm on now)
bleached loos
scrubbed ensuite loo and basin and floor
(yes I know that was all last week's zone)

gave a large box of toys to scout leader's grandson [yay]although ds2 rescued some playmobil at last minute and then ds1 retrieved Robin Hood video at Cubs

made ds1 do three whole pages of his England project we used the "race the timer" method 30 min & 15 min

swept floor
wiped worktops
put away laundry

sat in garden with dh and glass of wine finally
children NOT going to bed on time

today sounds better than it was, it felt very unproductive at the time and everyone was a bit hot and grouchy including dh.

scattyspice · 29/06/2010 07:52

LOL Ruby! It is dress weather though .

Today:
Have DS friend for breakfast!
School
work (my ward closes today)
DD friend for tea
Beavers/rainbows
buy food
laundry

Have a good day everyone.

swanriver · 30/06/2010 09:19

Scattywe have Troy Sharpay and Gabriella Barbies from the pound shop!
there seems to be a sore throat cold virus around, hope dd is better today
Ward closure must be very sad and frustrating. Will you see any of current patients in your new role?

Yest was not v. productive with ds in tow - seems to be my new default setting
however,
booked dd on horseriding course with cousin in Eire
investigated canoeing/kayaking courses for ds1, including family courses [help]

neighbour has given me two lovely Boden castoff jumpers for lakeside warmth

managed to get on with dh
more project done
took kids swimming yest afternoon
prepared cass/fishcakes for today and beyond

morning of chaos but dcs all to school in good form trailing different bits of junk, cheques, waterbottles, slings, PE kit.
Ths morning ds1 mislaid pencilcase, dd overfroze her waterbottle, and ds2 completely lost his bookbag. Luckily he doesn't seem to care as he's more interested in his sling

wendyhappysmile · 30/06/2010 19:14

Hi all
Busy busy day, am now on computer downstairs! We have bought and assembled both desk and shelves today, house is a tip though. Have also bought sandals for both DC and some new shoes for DS - both their feet have grown AGAIN! Pesky growing, only 3 weeks' ago had DD's feet measured!

Better go, lots to do, hope all well

grouchyoscar · 30/06/2010 23:10

Awful day...Dad collapsed at home this morning. various emergency services called and he went to hospital at my brother's encouragement.

Thing is, Dad is on a prognosis of less than 6mths anyway and as his home is not suitable for him to continue living in, once the hospital have stabalised him, it looks like he'll be going to a hospice.

All of this is happening so very fast

OP posts:
swanriver · 30/06/2010 23:14

Yay for desk at hub of family life Wendy done
Beavers
Brownies
Work
Driving lesson

nephew has broken arm, and other bad news just filtered through about another relative, so just grateful we are still not in any obvious crisis.
ds2 is having a lot of tantrums suddenly,
list from Pysch has come through, and school has completed their side, so that is progress. Spraining his wrist has made him incredibly emotional and demanding (I suppose it is not surprising) but it's made me see a bit more clearly how he rules the roost round here. Everything has to go his way, which normally isn't a problem as we think he's so great, but when he's down you can see he's a bit of tyrant. This is ds2 by the way,not dh

Anyway, just rambling.
bedtime [clock chimes - turning into a white mouse]

swanriver · 30/06/2010 23:16

oh Grouchy, that's awful. It always happens too fast.

Thinking of you, and your Dad.

wendyhappysmile · 30/06/2010 23:25

Thinking of you, Grouchy

Clock chiming here too, becoming a pumpkin here

grouchyoscar · 01/07/2010 08:29

Thanks for the kind thoughts ladies, hell, I'm kidnapped by rockstars for 6 mths yet you are still there for the tough times, you are wonderful

OP posts:

BBL

scattyspice · 01/07/2010 09:59

LOL at tidying house for window cleaners dyl .

grouchy sorry your Dad is getting worse .

swan its so hard to know what is normal egocentric child behaviour (which they will grow out of) and what is becoming established . Hope the psychol can help. I sometimes think all children and their parents could benefit from regular psychology (wonder what they'd make of my family ).

After yesterdays crazy day we've had a rubbish nights sleep. DD has had a cold all week and hasn't been sleeping well but last night she was waking me up every couple of hrs. I have thrown in the towel and called in sick and kept her off school. Fingers crossed she'll snooze a bit today.

To do;
get on top of laundry
ironing
sew on Beaver badges
wrap dh present

swanriver · 01/07/2010 13:07

Scatty how is wardclosure going? hope today you can catch up, I think it's incredible the way you and Ruby do a day's work and THEN deal with kids activities and everything else.

Just had three hours at school library, been also trying to find how to get ds to circus camp this weekend using public transport. Don't dare ask anyone for a lift as it's a long way by car too, and I can't give a lift home/all the friends have doubled up already. Hopefully someone will take pity on me on way home on Sunday. Or I suppose I could just drive, myself [aargh]

todo
kitchen clean - worktops, sink, floor
scout camping kit organise for ds1 to pack
dd singing lesson
HOOVER playroom
hang out washing
finish ds1 project POPULATION, INDEX, captions for Beatles, and Darwin, CUISINE

dyls I never imagine your house being a mess ever.
Grouchy hope today brings better news
