Hello All and cheers for the thread scatty

So what do we do here now? (I'm so confused)

Makingchanges · 19/04/2010 10:26

Morning all

Apparently we are in the Master Bedroom this week - but I can't find the right link. I'm sure that website has got more confusing since I last looked at it.

Today I'm off to Wakefield (Don't I know how to enjoy myself) and I'm going to take DD up to DHs work on the way.

Then I need to finish sorting clothes from my bedroom out as I only got half done yesterday as DD wanted amusing when she came home

Then I need to do some shopping as I've not been all last week and we haven't really got anything exciting to eat. I also need some new bread as there was a spider in my loaf this morning

DD has today off due to nursery visits for new starters so I guess I should enjoy my last day off before I am back at school and she is back to nursery

Back later

OverflowingMum · 19/04/2010 10:43

Morning all
scatty thanks for thread!
GO I spend most of my life confused LOL
MC enjoy your last day of holidays!

Well, back to the chaos this morning LOL
6.30 seemed like the middle ofthe night when the alarm went off! We had all got used to lovely lazy mornings, even the dog growled when we all came down and woke her up LOL

Anyway...am attempting to restore house to rights bit by bit this week

So far today done:
6 DC up, dressed, breakfasted
School run, with lunchboxes and pe kits
Walked dog
Main bathroom S&S
Quick tidy littlies and girls room
Beds made
Clean clothes taken upstairs for sorting
Laundry rebooted X2

Still to do:
Next: play barbies with DD4 and Ds2 (dd's request!)
Proper tidy littlies room
Dust and hoover upstairs
Lunch
Nursery run
Sort clean washing
Continual laundry rebooting!!
Post parcel
Dinner - roast beef, pots yorkshires etc...

Right...will BBL

grouchyoscar · 19/04/2010 11:51

Well I'll pop in anbd lurk in a confused state

Makingchanges · 19/04/2010 17:15

Grouchy we are doing as always have only with a weekly thread instead of a daily one.

Went to Wakefield and bought a new treadmill and a new exercise bike (bike was £99 for a good one but had a crack in the leg so selling off massively discounted) I can now replace mine that have both died a death and hopefully get some more exercise done inbetween when I can get to the gym.

Shop was closed when we got there so went to a random pub around the corner that had yummy homemade sausages.

I've not done any flying today but treadmill being delivered tomorrow so now need to spend all night cleaning and tidying my spare room and getting DH to move the dead old treadmill out of the way

OFM sounds like a busy and productive day

Right best get on - back later or tomorrow

EVye · 19/04/2010 17:50

Wolfcub · 19/04/2010 21:42

evening all

I am in need of a virtual hug from my flyfriends as I am feeling pretty sorry for myself, major moan alert.

DS has been having major major violent freak outs lately, biting, kicking, nipping, scratching and screaming at the top of his lungs and it's becoming really difficult to handle and a major problem when out in public. I am at a loss for what to do with him, he can't be comforted when he is like that, the best I can do is to restrain him for his own safety which feels awful.
He says he doesn't like me and doesn't want to live with us anymore. He says he doens't want dp to be his daddy anymore.
I was supposed to go to a wedding dress fitting today but the woman forgot and then forgot that I had been for a fitting 3 weeks ago and she was supposed to be taking it in a fair bit. Fitting re-booked for tomorrow but I am not confident at all.
I have a virus and a bacterial chest infection.

On the plus side the house is slightly tidier than it has been in a few weeks and I've taxed the car.

Whinge over, normal service will be resumed shortly

Hi all, I'm stuck in Eire, not too bad really lovely sunshine, nice relations [most of time] kids missing their dad though..

Wolf the wedding dress will look beautiful/it is so natural to feel unbelievably stressed about THE DRESS. Mad ungrateful dcs -
My son just peed in his granny's fireplace and had to be put to bed by his elder brother because I felt so cross with him. He is also in hysterics because we may not get to go on the ferry but might just possibly find a plane instead, and he is convinced the ferry will have swimming pool. Well done on car tax and tidy house.

haven't read rest of posts yet, trying to reacquaint myself with civilisation slowly only to see that OFM you are BACK hurrah - I missed your life and news. and Wendy that is lovely news - I always feel broody

scattyspice · 20/04/2010 08:05

Morning .

wolf sorry things are going wrong. Hopefully she'll have time to adjust your dress, if not you will still look lovely and once you get down that aisle you will be so giddy nothing will matter . How old is ds (I think he is around 3), can you have a chat to the HV or GP about him? He won't always be like this, it is typical (utterly frustrating) toddler boy behaviour. I had to avoid public places (esp shops and cafes) when ds was this age .

swan I was wondering if you'd been stranded. Hope you're baring up (LOL DS, sorry but sounds funny, I'm sure it wasn't though).

Today
laundry
DS gymnastics
buy food
banking

Have a good day all .

OverflowingMum · 20/04/2010 10:55

Morning all

swan hope you get home eventually...nice that you're able to enjoy your extra stay at least.

wolf what a terrible day. My dd 3(recently diagnosed Aspergers dd LOL) has told me she hates me before now, and has major melt downs with hitting/kikking/biting from time to time (though thankfully less now than thy used to be) and it can be SO demoralising/draining/upsetting. Hope both you and ds have a better day today.

dyls hope house sorting is going OK...andhope internet sorted soon(stresses me beyond belief when our internet is down...sign of adiction quite possibly LOL)

Morning all

Wolf No advise but hope things get better soon.

Dyls House sounds great. I really hope you get the internet sorted. I hate it when I am on holiday and have to go without internet. I need to facebook and mumsnet at least once a day. I think of it as stress relief

OFM Busy day again for you. I love the idea of long dog walks but am terrified of dogs (Since an incident in childhood) Long dog walks always sound so relaxing to me.

Well have had to wait in all morning for exercise stuff to be delivered. Its just come but guy was on his own and had to leave it in the garage so now DH has to find someone to help him manouvere it upstairs. It looks big and heavy so i've chickened out.

Jobs done

  • Hoovered spare room
  • Tidied kitchen
  • Washing
  • Paperwork
  • Ordered DD a float for her swimming

To Do

  • School and nursery
  • Sign language revision
  • Write up childrens book review for meeting tonight

Best get moving I guess - back later

EVye · 20/04/2010 20:19

sawn - wondered if you were stranded. Hope you get home soon x

Had a delightful playdate this afternoon. The children played nicely and it meant I could tidy up downstairs

Nuttybear · 20/04/2010 20:29

Evening all I would love to be stranded some where nice and sunny now and have an adventure to get home! Honest I do!
Swan Enjoy your extend hols.
Wolf The dress will be fab. Don't let anything get in the way of that dress fitting. Take a depp breath with DS and say to yourself 'we are not in a refuge camp and starving.' It was the only way I used to calm myself down
dyls good luck with the boxes I have only four to sort out still sitting there from DH's DIY bout. Should I leave it until he does the other wall? yes!
now going to bull my shoes and try on my tunic. I'm getting my long service medal on Friday nothing valiant I'm far too sensible.
I love working in an office with other women WE TALKED ABOUT...shoes & clothes today!bliss
